I LOVE City Lights Cafe! One of my favorites is the downtown turkey club sandwich. The outdoor seating is very nice, and the indoor seating is wonderful. I felt very safe, the staff were terrific, all in masks and doing an amazing job keeping all the areas clean. They are also pet friendly on the patio. The cookies are the BEST! I highly recommend City Lights Cafe!

This place is great! I love their Downtown Turkey Club and their homemade salsa and guacamole. It's nice being able to order some salsa in large quantities to take home too! Also, I love being able to order on my phone and drive over and pick it up! So convenient!

Always very tasty delicious upscale Cafe style food. Friendly customer service and love the adjoining book store. Vegan, GF and Vegetarian options. baked pastries, cakes, crepes and deserts are yummy and worth the price.

They put eggs in my vegan breakfast and confirmed twice it was vegan. I realized half way through it was not vegan. They apologized. Mistakes happen, but some mistakes cross a boundaries that are held sacred, such as veganism. Please be careful next time!

My husband and I were able to take a very short and much needed anniversary trip from SC. (Where masks aren't required and our rights aren't taken from us) We googled best breakfast and this was first on the list. We maneuvered our way around the one-way streets and found a parking spot 2 blocks from the restaurant. Upon entering We weren't even greeted politely, the young lady at the counter just waved a paper mask at us and said we were required to have a mask due to the "mandate". We said "No thank you, we will take a table for 2". When the young lady insisted that we wear a mask or be refused service, we left.
There is NO mandate (City, County, State, Federal) requiring masks. I read the reviews for this establishment, and the responses from the owner are so inappropriate..... Quite Frankly the owner should be ashamed for the responses they have given to negative reviews.
The fact that you're still in business when there are so many other local places to get a MUCH better experience in downtown Sylva, is questionable to me.
Take responsibility for bad experiences at your establishment, and quit blaming the guest.

This place sustains me - I eat here several times a week. The online ordering and pick up are super easy to use, and the staff are always so sweet. My menu favorites include the breakfast bagel sandwich, the Arriba burrito, and the Greek and apple salads. The hummus is also bomb. Such a great local business and well worth a visit.

Delicious food and friendly service. I added egg to the sausage and cheese biscuit and it was fresh and tasty. Quality ingredients really make a difference. Thank you for serving our community and doing your part to protect the safety of your customers.

One of our favorite local haunts!! Excellent options for my family, including vegetarian and GF options. We are particularly fond of the crepes, the kombucha selection, and the coffee!! ❤️ Check them out; you will not be disappointed! And, important at this time, they have so many dining options available, follow mask mandates, and so darn accommodating to their patrons!
