Delicious!!! Got my go-to drink, hot cafe mocha. Perfect!

Nice little seasonal latte selection. I had the almond and cardamom. Even though it was really busy, the baristas were patient, pleasant and efficient. Several comfortable seating areas were available, including a large and inviting outdoor patio. Local art adorns the walls. Next time I need caffeine while I'm in Matthews, I'll be sure to visit Brakeman's again.

I love the environment/atmosphere here with the patio and plenty of outdoor seating close by to the farmer's market. The coffee is that kitschy millennial style I don't really care for, yet it's still nice! Great place to catch up with friends or do some light reading and/or people watching.

So cozy with delicious drinks. The coffee is strong, the seasonal drinks are a must, and the staff is friendly. It's nice that there is a play area for the young kids and outdoor seating when the weather is nice. I also really enjoyed the live music here on a Friday night. Intimate and fantastic music.

Great coffee with unique flavors. They're not trying to be a Starbucks and trying for their own atmosphere but sitting there with my daughter for about an hour I just kinda forgot I wasn't in a Starbucks. Great desserts too. Outdoor seating is as good as the indoor if not better, both in the front and the back patio.

Delicious coffee!! Also such a cute cafe, I'd love to visit again but maybe when it's less crowded. The outdoor area is perfect for warm, sunny weather.

Not the greatest experience first time going. Ordered two drip coffees, had to wait 20 minutes. Gave me a large Latte instead of a small drip. Latte was disgusting, had a burnt almond taste. Drip coffee was average.

Sometimes I feel like I'm not hipster enough to drink coffee there. But that is just the trend these days. The owners are pretty amazing people and the employees are very kind. The atmosphere is nice and warm. Overall a great place for a meeting or to get some studying done.

Fantastic new coffee shop in downtown Matthews. Friendly staff. Interesting atmosphere inside with three or four rooms and tables set up with chairs outside. The prices were reasonable. We will definitely be visiting more often. Cheers!!

About 8 parking spots in total and adjacent buildings will tow. If it wasn’t such a hassle to find the entrance and then realize there’s no parking I might have given this place a go.
