Pretty average. Not sure how you mess up a chai latte, but they’re consistently meh. Espresso drinks are highly dependent on the barista. Usually the ratio to milk is way off or the espresso is burnt. Popular because there’s no other option in Matthews, not because the product is great.

Very delicious coffee! Ice vanilla latte, shadey seats on the patio, nice all around. On Saturday morning, line and ordering took 27 minutes. Popular place!

I always choose to work at Brakeman's when I lose power or internet at home and I make frequent weekend stops because I'd rather support a small business instead of one of the big coffee chains. The atmosphere is great, the staff is awesome, and the prices are surprisingly decent. However, almost every coffee that I've ordered, hot or cold, has had almost no taste to it whatsoever. I do not put much dairy in my coffee to begin with, but I always ask them to go light because of this, and even then my drinks still barely taste like coffee. If they can figure out how to make some stronger coffee and/or fix the coffee-to-milk ratio, I'll gladly bump this up to 5 stars.

Excellent coffee and staff is friendly even helping me to decide which yummy coffee drink to choose. It is an adorable place and perfect for meeting a friend or like me reading a book enjoying Brakeman's great atmosphere and subpurb coffee. Peaceful. Highly recommend this place. Come by and enjoy coffee, a pastry and good company. Great place!

It's right out of a Hallmark movie! The staff is super helpful and friendly. This shop offers the normal coffee drinks and some really unique combinations as well. It's a must try!

Inviting, homey atmosphere with excellent coffee! Stopped briefly while checking out Real Estate in the area, as my family and I transition away from Oregonian culture. The menu was a smaller focused approach but they still offer appropriate choices for the anti-Starbucks crowd, such as myself.

Asked for a basic peppermint mocha, and received a drink, which has the perfect blend of subtle restrained sweetness... Just right 😎☕
