The Giddy Goat Coffee Roasters

My first visit to Giddy Goat was a surprising letdown. I was excited to check it out because they roast their coffee in-house and I thought it would be tasty, plus I had read press about how they wanted to create a nice community space, which I'm all about.

I went on a Friday morning and the place was PACKED, which didn't surprise me too much in our current culture of remote work (I was also going there to grab breakfast and get some work done), but that didn't factor into my poor experience. The space is nicely arranged with a lot of variety in seating and environment: there are quiet corners upstairs and a busy bustling downstairs area, with a busy patio out front and a secluded balcony up top. Overall, the space was more dingy and worn-out looking than I expected of a relatively new business.

Staff was milling about everywhere in the chaos and none of them seemed particularly friendly or happy to be there. I ordered a basic iced mocha and a blueberry scone and stepped aside to wait, but my order was ready within 60 seconds—not sure that's time to pull a fresh shot of espresso? In any case, the coffee tasted like nothing, definitely not freshly roasted, and I couldn't even find the mocha syrup flavor, it was just cold, slightly milky water. The scone was cold, rubbery, and inedible. I threw both in the trash and went to a different coffee shop. Might try it again on a less busy day, but I don't have high hopes.

They are so good. The coffee and tea options are delicious and the staff is super nice 👍

Catch all coffee shop. Good for working out of, small breakfast items, good coffee. Overall a great spot. Although there may be better coffee shops for specifics like coffee quality, vibe, working out of, this one checks the box on all of these and has a good community atmosphere, even yoga some mornings.

Coffee is always delish (iced coffee w oat milk), the snacks (chickpea salad, chicken salad sandwich, quiche) are often a convenient lifesaver when I’m running late, and the service is super fast. I rarely have to wait long even if there is a line. Sweet and friendly staff. Nice outdoor area for people watching and doing work. Lucky to call giddy goat my neighborhood coffee spot!

Giddy Goat is like home. The staff are incredible humans, the service is spot on and the coffee is perfect every time.

Definitely recommend for work/study with plenty of outlets and fast internet. Great coffee. Free flat and sparkling water. Parking is easy. Definitely recommend!

This shop utilizes its space so efficiently; there is an amazing amount of workspace for laptop folks, comfortable seating for groups, solos, and patio space on the second floor outdoors as well as a large patio on the first floor outside. They roast their own beans in house, and have a wide variety of baked goods, empanadas, and really good looking wraps. They also have normal and sparkling water on tap for free?? And a very clean bathroom. I was really impressed! I had the coffee of the day and a vegana empanada and both were great.

This is my favorite coffee shop! It is fresh, clean and the staff is always friendly. They remember your name, your order and details about your life. It’s the perfect spot to work or read on your own while also being a great spot to gather and meet new friends! Not to mention - the coffee is always brewed to perfection. I’ve never been disappointed with my order. But I think we all really go to see Calder, the shop mascot. 🐶 I am grateful I found this spot and already treasure many of the memories I’ve made here!
