Stayed in the area for a weekend getaway with my husband. On the day we were returning home we decided to stop in and have brunch at Chappie's before making the trek home. My husband and I both had the eggs Benedict with home fries. I also got an iced coffee and we shared a "naughty (some booze) hot chocolate." Everything was yummy and prices were fair for the food and the amount they give you. Waitress was super pleasant. Definitely worth a check out if you're in the Roxbury area.

The veggie burger was good, but I got it without the aioli (since I’m vegan), and it really lacked in flavor without it. BUT I got a side of their seemingly house-made mustard and put that on the burger and it was great. Wish they had more vegan options but I am glad the veggie burger was there!

Went here with my bf on the rare occasion of coming back to my old stomping grounds. Obviously a gentrified tourist trap but wanted to give it a shot hoping that something in town would be decent. They had this weird brown butcher paper sheet down on the table as a table cover, service was okay but the burger was horrible and tasted like cheap low grade meat. My bf loved it but I hated it and will not be willingly going back.

Great food just don’t look down!! The floor is absolutely filthy!!! Also we came in after skiing and the whole restaurant was a total mess!! The floors were so dirty they looked like old dirt floors!! Ewwww!!!!!

If you ever find yourself traveling to or through Roxbury, NY either for a skiing trip or what not. This cool, hip spot with upstate vibes called Chappies is a must stop. It's a gem of a place. Fantastic service and the food.... I was fortunate enough to have breakfast lunch and dinner at Chappies. I posted some pictures and everything on the menu is outstanding. Must haves are the mussels and I would suggest ordering a side of the hand cut french fries. If your a bloody mary fan, like me, this is the place. And I had what I consider one the best mimosa's I've ever had. Also, the burger is off the charts as well as the BLT. With that said, I cant wait to go back! Yum!

We went on a busy Friday night and watched other groups wait upwards of 30-45 minutes just to get water and order. This happened without any respect for who arrived first. The issue was the waitress refused to take any tables but one large group she was serving. One waiter was then responsible for every other table, even ones the waitress said she would take. Most upsetting was an elderly couple that didn't receive help until we asked our waiter to help, after the waitress made a snide comment and rude face when my partner asked about this party. In future, they should decline to seat folks if they don't have the staff necessary to serve. We won't be returning if this waitress is working at Chappie's.

Oh also we ordered the same meal we had a year ago. The price went up but the amount and quality was down. My veggie burger was almost inedible.

Came here late in the ski season because it was recommended by a buddy. Waitress looked surprised to see people come in and immediately let us know that they didn't have pizza that day. We haven't seen the menu yet because we have no service and it's our first time here. We say fine, I'm sure they have other things. Half of the first page was pizza. I figure maybe I'll have a steak or something. She comes back with drinks and said we're also out of steak. 3 of us settle on chicken fingers because we're starving and they must have some of those in stock. Thankfully, they did.

While waiting for our food, a man with a clipboard and a gun comes in to serve the owner some legal papers. This is when the staff become very cagey. They tell him they have no clue how to contact him. There's no address, no phone, no email, he has no scheduled hours, etc. Absolutely no way to find old Chappy. Five or so minutes go by and the sketchy waitress is still dodging questions and also acting very ambiguous about her own job there. When asked who's in charge, she answers "No one's in charge". Mind you, the only staff in the building are her and the cook and it's around 6 pm. My friends are practically on the floor laughing at this point in the exchange.

The cook, who must've also been frustrated by the man's questions, leans out his window to yell, "Hey buddy, we can't help you!" Process server, after realizing this is going nowhere, eventually wishes them a nice day and leaves. The look on his face as he walked out was somewhere between frustration and hilarity. I thought to myself, "Me too, bud. Me too."

The chicken fingers were okay. They took forever, but we were half expecting the restaurant to just kick us out and close up shop at that point.

This place is a fever dream. If I hadn't been with other people, I think I'd question whether this actually happened. Hands down most memorable restaurant experience I've ever had, and for all the wrong reasons. It's been 2 months and I still sometimes wonder where old Chappy is hiding. I won't recommend you avoid or visit this place because truthfully, I can't even decide myself.

If you do go, avoid the taller tables in the center aisle near the bar. They're a little wobbly and have legs on the outside that you'll hit with your legs and almost spill your drink every 30 seconds.

their brunch and pizza are EXCELLENT, and their bloody mary is a whole meal in itself. however, docking some stars because there's been a couple of times where the store claims to be open but isn't, causing dinner plan havoc (there isn't much else around without driving 30min in either direction). one particular time my partner and i went for dinner, only to stand around waiting to be seated for about 25 minutes (the waitstaff knew we were there, there were several empty tables as well). by the time the waitstaff got around to talking to us, they informed us that the kitchen had closed.... 10 minutes ago. i understand staffing is hard, but it really would've been cool if they could've seated us before the kitchen cutoff, or told us no when we got there so we could've made backup plans.

Wednesday i went in person. Tuesday tho i ordered in. Wednesday- Waitress was very bubbly. Loved her energy. Got a chicken quesadilla and chocolate ice cream. Everything was great. Even found a new hot sauce! Very clean restaurant. Tuesday.. I dont recommend delivery.. I dont recommend the frys. The oil needed to be changed they were dark. In person on Wednesday they were dark as well. Anything they are frying in a pan is great. Id stay away from anything deep fryed in a fryer. Which is most of what's delivered. Well worth going in person. Id go again.. They have a full bar as well. Good vibes.

Do not go here. Visited Roxbury just last week. Yes it's off season but this place isn't clean and has a smell. Waitress was nice though. We ordered chicken fingers and a burger. Not sure how you can mess up chicken fingers but they did. They were tasteless as in wasn't sure it was chicken. Very weird.
