Delicious drinks, polite and helpful staff, very clean, nice bathrooms. Food is good to great, sometimes have samples by the front door. Recommend the olive bread and chai lattes. Rustic ambiance. A bit too warm in summer.

Go to breakfast place for my parents and I when they're in town. Delicious breakfast sandwiches and French toast. The coffee is very good too, I have no idea why there's a Starbucks right next door. The only problem is when it's busy you almost always will wait for a seat, but it's well worth it!

Good stuff. Here's what you need to know: fresh local ingredients and real, homemade bread--the kind with a crust that you have to chew. Good cookies, too. I had a poached egg, ham and brie sandwich, which despite being very salty ('cause it's ham and brie and I knew it would be salty) was quite good. The Village Bakery & Cafe has a nice, casual atmosphere, too. The whole place is done in reclaimed (looking) wood, concrete and exposed beam ceilings. But it works, the aesthetic doesn't feel corporate or forced. It feels like what it is: a quality neighborhood bakery with a respectable menu committed to serving up solid food to it's community and neighbor's. Think independent, one-off, quality driven Starbucks.

Very busy @10am today. Stopped in for coffee took 20min but wasn't in a big hurry just out enjoying sun. Baristas were apologetic and friendly.

One of the best places for a quick nutritious breakfast. I always get the build your own breakfast sandwich with eggs, arugula, pesto, and Turkey sausage. The staff is friendly and the place is clean and bright!

Everything was delicious. My daughter has celiac and they took special care to ensure no cross contamination. Will make sure to go back again.

Just had a meeting here, had coffee, then had a turkey sandwich. The place was crazy busy at 11:30am on a Friday. We could barely find a place to sit - this is pretty uncomfortable. I'm sure it's not like this every day of the week at all times, but we might have gone elsewhere had a table not opened up. The coffee was ok and the turkey sandwich was just alright. I'm not sure this would be my first choice of places to visit again, especially at this time of day/week. The staff was nice and the atmosphere was great, it was just too busy and a bit over priced.

My family and I have only eaten at the one in eastvew mall but we drive from Greece to eat there. Excellent food and the loft seating is so very cool!! The baked goods are excellent and they make a wonderful sour dough bread that is not too strong.

This has really changed since the last time I was there years ago. We went twice in the past month and decided it just wasn't worth the price and the food just isn't as good as we remember it being. Burned, forgetful, cold, expensive.
1st world problems but it's very different now.

3 trips already to find my favorite bread but no luck. They said that I could have my bread pre ordered to ensure availability and I might try it but is quite disturbing that they are out of stuff quite often. Desserts are ok. Some quite overpriced for what they are and their size. Most unfortunate is that they have substituted creme patisserie that is used for filling sweets with plain whipped cream. Early in morning smelled really nice the coffee and eggs and bacon and was crowded with people ordering breakfast. Staff was mostly helpful but some quite slow. I would have preferred separate rows for ordering bread and desserts than breakfast to be consumed in house. Pick ups available for pre ordered meals on separate space within store.
