Hands down, the best spot in BedStuy. Do yourself a favor and go try their sandwiches, pastries, cocktails, and most importantly- their great Italian coffee! The crew is so welcoming and caring, the energy is familiar and relaxed, great music, lovely backyard… I can’t say enough good things about this place!!! Go and have a good time- you won’t regret it :)
They’ve become a weekly stop. The sandwiches are amazing and despite the fact that the shop is constantly PACKED, they take no longer than 15-20 minutes at the longest! Also top tier iced latte.
Good food and a nice laid back atmosphere. We ate in the covered patio in the back, which was warm enough to be tolerable even though the weather was well below freezing. The food was on the pricier side for the amount that you get, but the ingredients seem to be high quality. The picture here is the Manzoni sandwich.
I'm not a coffee lover, but Corto might turn me into one. The coffee is exceptional, they really know what they're doing. Excellent pastries and salads too! The vibe is perfectly chill, I love reading there! Just the right amount of buzz. You can't go wrong with this spot, try it!
Some of the best sandwiches I’ve had- worth the price. Everyone I’ve taken or recommend to this place has said the same. Cool coffee drinks as well. Espresso-based beverages never miss and apparently their orange juice is good too. They also have some new specialty Italian beers ;) In terms of service, I’ve only had good experiences here. I agree that sometimes it takes awhile for the food to come out but hey, they have a small cooking space. Another note: I saw a review by an Asian woman about how she was treated here and I want to offer my experience as well for anyone who is concerned about feeling safe and welcome here (fwiw, I’m also quite visibly Asian and a woman). I’m always greeted warmly by the same guy she mentioned and today, it was quite busy when I came in and got a sandwich but he brought out an extra table for me after seeing me hammer things out on my laptop on the tiny bench inside. Earlier this year, another staff member actually turned on one of the outdoor heaters for me when it got a little chilly. I’m very happy with the level of service here.
This place is nice. Typically coffee options for a cafe. A good amount of sandwiches and antipasto. I feel like the quality was what I paid for except the salami on my sandwich was VERY thin. Overall quick service. Very peaceful ambiance in their little back yard. Will be back.
This is one of the best cafes in Brooklyn & honestly maybe in New York because it gives you a sense of home paired with great coffee & a unique array of Focaccia Sandwiches. This is a real deal Italian joint as the owner is from Torino & not the middle of New Jersey
one of the few places that serves a simple and authentic approach to italian cafe. great coffee, terrific fresh pastries along a simple day long menu. check out the back courtyard .. open all year and makes for a great work/ meeting spot!
Decent coffee service, but unbelievably slow food service. Ordered a couple cappuccinos and a sandwich for take out. Our coffees came right away, but we had to wait over 20 minutes for a small toasted sandwich. Watching the service it appeared to generally be slow and disorganized. Lots of others were waiting for food as well and several people were told their orders were actually out of stock long after they'd ordered.

They use exceptional ingredients that shine in the sandwiches. The coffee was delicious too. Plus, their outdoor spaces are cozy and comfortable.
