Cute cafe, only one outlet so just charge up before you come to study or work. Nice staff, prices are reasonable. They also have an outdoor patio that's covered in the back.

I wanted to try corto, which was a decent little jaunt from my house.

Pretty decent coffee and $15 for a sandwich that was thin bread (not a bad thing in itself) and a few slices of salami with arugula. The food was tasty but I would not say that I felt any sense of value nor that this was a place I would frequent. I just kept realizing that I had barely eaten and I needed another coffee, yet had just spent $25 on food and coffee.

Corto is a quaint cafe that we are so lucky to have right around the corner from our stay. The sandwich and coffee were so delicious that my sister and I just might be coming here for a quick breakfast every morning while we are in New York. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, and their sandwiches have delicious, fresh ingredients. Be sure to stop by when in bed-stuy!

Amazing Italian coffee. The staff are really nice too. Cozy yard!

Corto serves a traditional Italian style espresso coffee menu along with very creative delicious specialty drinks. The sandwich and bar feature straight bangers. Good for any time of day.

Food is good but not worth dealing with the owner. He treats employees and patrons poorly. Today, he yelled at two women for taking an order with their name that was handed to them by a barista. He also blamed it on me for not liking their ice coffee 🤷🏻‍♀️

I had such a bizarre experience today. I’ve been here a few times and I’ve always enjoyed myself in the backyard. But today, I ordered two ice coffees with milk. I noticed the barista/maybe owner fill the first cup all the way to the brim with ice, so when he started filling the second cup, I asked him for less ice. He then poured the coffee in and filled the second cup 3/4 full with milk included. This was strange to me and I’d never seen that before, so I asked if he could fill the cup all the way, and he gave me the most searing, condescending look for an uncomfortably long time before he filled the cup. Even the cashier looked sort of stunned. I asked him if I had done something wrong and he shrugged with wide eyes.

Now I can guess that this person was feeling annoyed at me because I asked for less ice, so obviously that means I get a bit more quantity of coffee. I guess he thought I was being cheap or sneaky, maybe it’s because I’m Asian and that’s a stereotype. Maybe he assumed I was a tourist and that I don’t actually live a few blocks away. Maybe I don’t look like a glamorous hipster with an expensive dog. Or maybe I’m just not the fashionable type of minority that people like to be nice to these days. I’ve just never encountered that level of pettiness before. I’ve worked in coffee shops for years, and less ice is a common request. It doesn’t seem worth fighting over, especially when the “extra” is quite literally an ounce or two. I was really just blown away that I had to ask for a coffee cup to actually be filled, and then be made to feel so small and low for that request. It bothered me quite a bit. I would much rather just pay for “extra” on top of the 20% tip I already gave (didn’t think my cheap a$s would tip?) than have that experience for simply asking for a full order of coffee. Maybe he was having a bad day? Fight with the old lady? No idea, but I pity him because that pettiness must be hard to live with.

Everything was excellent! I had a focaccia breakfast sandwich and a mochaccino . We chatted with the owner who was very friendly and clearly very skilled and knowledgeable. The food is fresh and of high quality. The ingredients have either been imported from Italy, or sourced locally. I am very impressed and will be stopping in often!

Great new place owned by Italian natives. May not be the biggest sandwiches according to American standards but they use delicious, quality and flavorful ingredients. Small interior but they have a great backyard area that is open during this pandemic. Will definitely return to try the coffee and other sandwiches.
