Cute neighborhood spot with friendly staff. Everyone was patient and kind and there’s lots of seating in their backyard. Didn’t order anything to eat but my friend did, will definitely have to come back to try one of their sandwiches :)
This place makes us feel like we are at a legitimate Italian café. The coffee is superb and unique. You won’t find these espresso combos at any other café in Brooklyn. The paninis are the best sandwiches outside of Italy. The cheese and meats are authentic and delicious. The owner knows what he’s doing! Nice outdoor space in the back as well. Love Corto!
Adorable little coffeeshop with a covered courtyard (heated in the winter). A good amount of seating for Brooklyn cafes, but definitely fills up quick. Good coffee and food, free wifi, and kind service. What else can you ask for?
Not sure what the hype is about but the sandwich I had was certainly overpriced, small portioned and was not of mind blowing flavor. Definitely sticking to my local deli for bigger sized portions and less money. Corto is what it is - short/little.
Was greeted by a man with a delightful (Maltese?) accent that really tied the vibe of the place together. Come for the Coffee, stay for the pastries, their cream cheese danish is light fluffy and crisp as an apple.
Corto is the cutest new cafe in BedStuy! Located at Tompkins/Halsey and a 5 minute walk from the C train, it’s a must try! It opened only about a week ago and is my new favorite go-to spot. The food is made with fresh ingredients and efficiently right in front of you. As a vegetarian myself, I recommend the Balla Focaccia! It was delicious and filling and tasted so fresh.
I love a cafe with a variety snacks, meals, cute corner seats, open lighting, free wifi, and a peaceful atmosphere, and Corto has all this and more! I can’t wait till the backyard opens this summer!
Cristiano, the owner, is pleasant, authentic, and passionate about his work. We chatted about why he opened the cafe and it was lovely to see his personality and passion in his work. He brings authenticity to all his food and drinks and it shows! Make Corto your new spot and never run out of tasty treats to try!
Have a no laptop rule on the weekends and I pulled out my iPad mini to draw a bit and the owner told me to put it away. I understand the rule but it’s the same as drawing on a notebook which I thought was kind of silly but their rules. Coffee was ok, good price for an americano
got cappuccino and nutella croissant for breakfast here, both were amazing!! there’s a huge backyard too if you want to chill on a non-rainy day. an absolute neighborhood gem ✨
