Delicious food and reasonable prices. I have been coming here my entire life, and the quailty has always been amazing. Every member of the staff is wonderful and personable. Wish I lived closer so I could visit more often.

The food was excellent, the service was just as excellent. The waitress was so accommodating and helped us take good pictures. She’s worked there for many years because we’ve been going there for 25 years and we see her every time! We had a memorable experience.

I've been coming here for years and this is my favorite place for a green chili cheeseburger. The food is always very consistent every single time I've been here and the staff is always really nice and friendly. Get your fries with cheese you won't be disappointed. 5⭐

Great food and friendly service. Lots of history and lots o' flavor. Highly recommend.

I've been to this place several times before there's only maybe two waitresses there that are friendly and will chat with youAnd take care of you. Don't go there when it's busy they will look you right in the face, especially the owner who always has a glare on her face, and act like you're completely invisible.
Won't be back.

No matter what everyone else says , this is the best place to get a burger. Their fries are just ok, good, but they could use a little improvement.

Our server was polite but the rest of the staff were rude. I ordered the chicken sandwich and the two people who ate there with me both ordered the green chile chesse burger. My chicken sandwich tasted okay while the other two people who ate with me enjoyed their green chili cheese burgers. Owl Bar and Cafe charges you extra for fries and other sides which I was surprised by. The atmosphere of the restaurant is old and unsanitary in some areas.

What a historic gem of an off the beaten path, rustic, and cozy restaurant. The long low windowless stucco building opens up to a long dimly lit interior richly bedecked in decades old memorabilia. From the dozens of owl figurines, to the hundreds of notes tacked to one dollar bills lining the walls, down to the wonderful authentic Mexican food, The Owl restaurant provided us with an exceptional dining experience.

I love the Owl Bar. Its authentic New Mexican green chile cheeseburgers are known throughout the state. Some say The Owl invented the dish. Whether that's true I can't say, but I can say I think they're great.

There Owl's been serving since before the Trinity Site test about 20 miles away in July 1945 including, it is said, to the workers from Los Alamos on their way to and from the site.

If you're near San Antonio with a hunger for a GCC, you're in the right place. Stop in. There's a lot to love at The Owl.

Gotta have the green Chile cheeseburger... the history of this place is incredible. Read it...
