I have been coming to red river for about 40 years. Never would I have ever imagined that this beautiful little town would have its own brewery. It sits in the middle of this cute little town surrounded by the New Mexico mountain range. Absolutely beautiful! The restaurant itself is completely wide open so that you are able feel the fresh cool mountain air. In one area they offer a fireplace which really sets the mood and on the other side of the brewery the offer games for more of a family setting. The day I went I ordered the green chili cheeseburger and fries. The food is pretty good the bear was fantastic. Our server was very friendly and took the time to get to know us a little bit. This brewery is absolutely beautiful. It was nice to see it packed full of people.

First time visiting, very busy, and good location. We only got fries, pretzel and a mile high club sandwich for food. Overall the beer was better than the food for this experience. Porter and amber refreshing on hot day. Shoestring fries are served, good but more crunch vs french fry taste. Kids barely ate them. Pretzel was good and came with lots of salt. Cheese dip was mild. The sandwich was all bread and heavy on mayo. We were not impressed by it at all. Also they offer kettle chips that we're advertise as their own.... but they seemed like straight from a retailer.

BOYB, chicken bacon ranch sandwich, grilled chicken kids meal, and on freaking large pretzel! (The kids meal was huge, same size of grilled chicken i had on my sandwich,. BOYB was fantastic for my teen crazy messy though because she loves sour cream and guacamole. Now the humongous pretzel was really good. Must try both the beer cheese and the mustard.. Also itt open air type if place. Live music was going at night. We tried the beer. I'm not a beer person but it was good, i jist tried the fruity one in a sniffer. Husband like the beer. I can however, tell you awesome the beer cheese was! OMG. Wonder if i can take some home. I need to try the beer cheesy soup next
UPDATE 1/3/2020 we seems to be frequent flyers here when we're at Red River. This time in the winter.

Good food, tasty beers and friendly service. we sat on the large patio with a nice view to the west of the mountains. The bar keep was friendly and kept up a good banter that made the whole experience memerable.

Awesome. My waiter Hamdi (I believe) was great. The beer excellent. Atmosphere, just like I wished for.

Visited Red River Brewing Company while taking a trip around the Enchanted Circle up from Santa Fe. The brewery had a great outdoor space and the staff was friendly and attentive. The Angry Bear Blond & the Bad Medicine Honey Double IPA are a must try. The food was lackluster and the nachos had the consistency of wet paper but overall a great place to stop in for a beer on a long road trip through a beautiful part of New Mexico

Beers and spirits are unique and flavorful. But full marks should be awarded to Server Marissa. We ran into her in Taos days after our visit and she and her friends saved me from forgetting my purse at a local Taos eatery. Her dedication to a Red River patron, whom she did not actually serve at Red River, but assisted at a totally different restaurant should be applauded. Red River brewing company is worth a visit.
