Nice place, best restaurant in Red River, NM. Staff were friendly and attentive. Lots of beer choices, with good food selection, kinda pricey for what you get. All in all a good experience.

The pretzel and beer cheese was good my girlfriend ordered the tortilla soup and a side of the black bean and corn salsa they put the salsa with my burger when we told the waiter I did not order the salsa he said he could charge us for another side, when they screwed up it should of been free not an extra charge WTH .very very poor service probably would not return. my burger was mediocre at best. I think because this is a tourist town they dont care much about the customer because it likely the wont return.

Used to go here after work but went here just lately and was baffled by the inflation . Ordered an old fashion and a bloody Mary and service was not only terrible we paid 30$ for 2 drinks no food, appetizers, just 2 DRINKS!!we thought of getting a second drink but was looking at a 60$ bill!!!! Just ridiculous!!! As a LOCAL visitors go to the Bull of the Woods its cheaper, bartenders are nicer and actually take your order and you can get food. If your looking for a nice New Mexican vibe and not trying to break the bank go anywhere but here.

Waitress barely checked on us, and when she did it was like we were bothering her. Then we wanted to buy some merchandise and all the staff kept giving us dirty looks and when one finally came to help us again we were treated like we were bothering them. In total we spent over $150 here and were treated like trash, I'll never come back here and will actively discourage others from coming here.

We came in a Tuesday and got right in to eat. The food was great. The service was outstanding. Ask to sit in Grant’s section. He was there when we needed without hovering. BEWARE the wings are hot but they are good. The kettle chips were amazing. They were perfectly cooked, crispy but nut so hard the scratch your gums. The fresh brewed Rootbeer was a little sophisticated for our 12 year old. The Atmosphere is really fun. It will definitely be a regular stop when we visit.

This place is a nice new building. The food looked good. I can not tell you how it tasted because we left after 40 minutes of waiting. I am very understanding about holiday weekends and short staffs on holidays. It wasn’t really the wait that made us leave it was the turtle pace the staff moved at and that a lot of the tables were empty. Again the food coming out of the kitchen looked good but with a third of the tables empty and the mad customers at the other tables, we thought we would try it another time.

Usually everything is fabulous but tonight our bbq platter had fatty brisket and the chx was dry. Drinks were great!

I have been a mystery shopper for many years, for all different types of companies. I have been providing reviews for companies, in house for the last 15 years. Customers are still wanting to know that they are getting the best deal for their money these days. It is important to remember that most restaurants are still short staffed with scaled back hours. With that being said, I do not include criticism about wait times for any service when writing my reviews.

Several years ago, we visited Red River, NM and enjoyed a wonderful meal at Red River Brewery. We all fell in love with their Old Fashion Homemade Root Beer. So, we purchased 7 growlers to bring back to Louisiana. They told us at that time when you come back, bring the growlers back and there is a discount given to refill.

Prior to our return visit to Red River Brewery, I reached out to management by email just to let them know that we would be visiting the area again and would stop in to eat and would like to refill our growlers. Michael Calhoun quickly responded and was delighted that we were returning. We planned our visit during a time that it would be more convenient for the bartender who has the task of filling the growlers.

Our experience at Red River Brewery (2/5/2023)
At Red River Brewery you will find a mix crowd of customers, younger folks and the young at heart. We were greeted from the moment we arrived. The wait was not long for a mid-afternoon visit (3:30PM). Art, our server, was extremely polite, knowledgeable, and very friendly. He had other tables but never failed to make sure we didn't need anything. We were with a group of 6 and needed a table that was wheelchair accessible which was not a problem. Everyone at our table ordered something different and we were not disappointed.

FRIED CHEESE CURDS (We absolutely love these)
SHANE'S FLAMING BRISKET POPPERS (These are a little Pepper Hot)
REUBEN (One couple preferred more thousand island dressing and Art brought more to the table)
BACON CHICKEN RANCH SANDWICH (Ranch Dressing is served on the side, but I wanted to add Mayo and Art brought that out as well. Green Chiles are added at additional cost. We did not order them but sandwich came out with them. Excellent)
OLD FASHION HOMEMADE ROOTBEER (Our table all wanted Root Beer, so it was a better deal for us to order a pitcher than by the glass. Refills on this item is not included.)

The food was wonderful, from preparation to presentation. However, what truly made the meal unforgettable is the staff…always smiling and helpful. Stephen, bartender who filled our growlers, even carried the box of 10 out to our car. Note: If you are bringing the growlers down from the higher altitude. We recommend that you check to be sure that they remain tight on your trip home, so you don’t lose their fizz.

We never felt rushed and there was plenty of time between appetizers and our meal arriving to enjoy the atmosphere. Payment is taken care of at your table, so there is no standing in line when you leave. If you are with a party of 8 or more and 18% gratuity is added.

Michael & Sharon Calhoun clearly have the respect of their staff. They represent the type of Owners/Management that any company would want on board if they truly want positive recognition and feedback from their customers. We have never been disappointed with RRB food or spirits and found all their menu items to be reasonably priced. Even if you are not staying in the Red River area, it is worth the drive.

Delicious burger! Our server, Mo, was amazing! Friendly and accommodating! The BlackBerry Lemonade with Tequila and Welcome to New Mexico drinks were awesome! We’ll definitely be back! Ask for Mo!

The food, servers, drinks, and atmosphere were great!

Great atmosphere and good IPA beer. The food is good and portions are large. I had the Hatch Burger (green chile), my wife had the Hangover burger. All were tasty and the onion rings are very good. If they had hand cut fries I would give them a 5 star. Good place to hang out highly recommend.
