I arrived late night into Reno. I took a walk and spoke with a few locals, which only cost me a few smokes ๐คฃ. Each and everyone of them gave the same response when asked where they would recommend I go for breakfast: "Jack's ". So I got up early and took a walk to check this "HIDDEN GEM" out for myself. OMG sums it up - no joke, the most fantastically delicious breakfast I have had in years! Let me break it down for you... 1) I was immediately greeted when I walked through the door by a smiling waitress ready to serve me; she also helped me to choose my meal, because the menu is filled with choices hard to pass up; 2) Coffee โ refills without begging - very uncommon in today's climate, but very much appreciated by this guy!; 3)The place is really clean, the kitchen run like a mitary operation, and the food prepared timely; 4) The Hungry man could not be finished - the portion being extremely generous! But I wanted to ( I also didn't want to go into a food coma ๐ด).. the chicken fried steak was perfectly cooked, the biscuits/gravy/hashbrowns were fantastic, and my scrambled eggs ๐ฅ ๐ were executed to a T; 5) Service and attitude of the staff was wonderful. I felt like family at Sunday dinner, no rush no fuss no worries! I loved that especially. If you are in Reno and pass up the chance to experience Jack's, you're a fool - and if you're decision making about breakfast warrants wonder, you probably shouldn't take a chance in the casinos! ๐คฃ Bottom lime, final statement... Jack's is for real, and it must be tried!

Jack's seems to be a locally owned family restaurant. It has a classic diner feel. The restaurant was clean. Our service was fast and cheerful. The food was incredible! Huge portions! We ordered waffles with strawberries (you can choose fresh or processed) and country fried steak with home fries, biscuits & gravy and 2 eggs. There was so much food, we could not eat it all. If I ever return to Reno, I'll be sure to eat at Jack's Coffee Shop again!

A quaint little dine in experience where the servers were attentive and friendly. The food was quickly prepared and fresh and delicious. There are plenty of colorful, creative menu choices to liven your experience while giving you a break from Denny's or IHOP style foods.

Staff is wonderful, the food is great however the price seemed high for a cafe in a questionable neighborhoodโฆ.the lean fruit with chicken was spectacular as was open faced turkey sandwich but a bit too much salt.

Great food. Generous portions. Great service. Discount if paying in cash.

Good old style diner. Good, friendly service. Food was well prepared, but a bit bland. No detectable seasoning on any dish. Country potatoes need onion and bell peppers to be called that. Our egg dishes were generous with vegetables, meats and cheese, just not seasoned. Lunch and dinner menus looked good. Will return.

Was very disappoint. I ordered 2 Monte Cristo sandwich. Which came out to over $31. They were soggy. No raspberry jam. No powdered sugar. Just all around disappointing. The fries were the best part

Really wanted to like this place more but it is a true greasy spoon. The potatoes were a little too greasy and tasted Of slightly old oil my omelet was kind of the same. The staff was great the place was clean and funky The portions were large and service was good Everything just tasted a little bit too much like oil

This is a good local breakfast spot. If you can get past the area being in the hood- itโs yummy for your tummy. I never eat the hash browns at restaurants BUT the potatoes here are good! Come try it out :)
