Sugar, Salt & Malt Restaurant
Review of Sugar, Salt & Malt Restaurant
Sugar, Salt & Malt Restaurant:
Sugar, Salt & Malt Restaurant is a cozy and welcoming spot located in Baker, Nevada. The restaurant offers a variety of dishes, including pizza, pasta, quiche, and more. The menu is not extensive, but it has something for everyone. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is relaxed and casual.
The restaurant is a great option for those visiting Great Basin National Park, as it is one of the few dining options in the area. The restaurant has a decent beer selection and a full-service bar. The homemade cheesy bread is a must-try, and the Ragu over pasta is a popular dish among customers. The vegan menu items are also appreciated by many customers.
The breakfast options are limited, but the restaurant is a cute spot for breakfast in a town with basically no other options. However, some customers have expressed disappointment with the breakfast burrito. The dinner menu is more extensive and offers fine dining options in a place where one would not expect it. The 6oz Ribeye dinner is a customer favorite.
The prices are a bit high, but customers appreciate that the restaurant is one of the few options in the area. The restaurant has a small menu, but there is a little something for everyone. The decor is lovely, and the staff is accommodating. The restaurant is open for dinner from 4:30 pm to 8:00 pm on certain nights.
If you are looking for a place to grab a bite to eat before the ascent up Great Basin National Park or just driving through, Sugar, Salt & Malt Restaurant is a perfect place to stop by.

I went on a Saturday morning around 6:50 am and it was closed but came on a Sunday at 8 am and was open! The chai tea latte was very good and not overpowering on flavor, I got there grilled cheese and it was an amazing blend of cheeses! Such good food and drinks to stop by and get.

If you are near Great Basin National Park you must stop in for coffee at Baker's Bean! Super sweet ladies making great coffee drinks and they make all their food from scratch! Breakfast sounds wonderful!

Amazing service and excellent breve. Great coffee and espresso drinks are getting harder and harder to find, but now I know where to go when I'm traveling along Highway 50 near Nevada - Utah border. Thank you for the excellent homemade lemonade as well!

Food was good, service was snappy. Looked to be a full service bar and had some good local beers on menu.

What a joy to come upon this beautiful little cart, warmly serving great coffee and delicious healthy local fare, as we rolled downhill on a cool mountain morning. Besides the latte and soy chai, we came away with a keeper beanie and choice earrings crafted by locals. Rachel’s cart is a one stop fun shop!

The coffee was a bit on the weak side but the person at the counter was super nice. Definitely try a cinnamon roll; they are worth the stop in itself!

Dinner menu looked way better than lunch... but lunch was not bad.

Great place to grab a coffee and some breakfast. Their breakfast sandwich was just right for a light breakfast with some coffee. Friendly staff, quick service.

Literally, an oasis for the coffee enthusiast, with benefits, their breakfast sandwiches and burritos are far better than anything else you'll find along America's loneliest road. The beans are carefully roasted and the baristas are legit despite this locations exceptional remoteness. If you're visiting Great Basin National Park or passing-by on Route 50 then treat yourself at this wee Coffee Cart, you won't regret it.
