Review of Sugar, Salt & Malt Restaurant

Sugar, Salt & Malt Restaurant:

Sugar, Salt & Malt Restaurant is a cozy and welcoming spot located in Baker, Nevada. The restaurant offers a variety of dishes, including pizza, pasta, quiche, and more. The menu is not extensive, but it has something for everyone. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is relaxed and casual.

The restaurant is a great option for those visiting Great Basin National Park, as it is one of the few dining options in the area. The restaurant has a decent beer selection and a full-service bar. The homemade cheesy bread is a must-try, and the Ragu over pasta is a popular dish among customers. The vegan menu items are also appreciated by many customers.

The breakfast options are limited, but the restaurant is a cute spot for breakfast in a town with basically no other options. However, some customers have expressed disappointment with the breakfast burrito. The dinner menu is more extensive and offers fine dining options in a place where one would not expect it. The 6oz Ribeye dinner is a customer favorite.

The prices are a bit high, but customers appreciate that the restaurant is one of the few options in the area. The restaurant has a small menu, but there is a little something for everyone. The decor is lovely, and the staff is accommodating. The restaurant is open for dinner from 4:30 pm to 8:00 pm on certain nights.

If you are looking for a place to grab a bite to eat before the ascent up Great Basin National Park or just driving through, Sugar, Salt & Malt Restaurant is a perfect place to stop by.

Delicious coffee. Got an Americano and is was excellent. My partner got the drip coffee and he also loved it. Really cool girl working there, friendly, a bit dorky, but totally awesome. Some local dogs came over to greet us while we ordered who were super cute, I remember one's name was Waffles. Great morning!

We are staying in Baker, NV while visiting the Great Basin National Park. We saw the Magic Bean and decided to stop by. The coffee is great (we just had plain brewed coffee), but she has lots of other coffee drinks. She brewed us a fresh pot which we were happy to wait for. It also has some fresh local pastries which looked yummy - we might go back on the way out of town tomorrow! The woman working was friendly and informative. We really enjoyed our stop!

Great coffee at a reasonable price. The owner works hard to get your perfect cup of coffee just the way you want it as quickly as possible. While just a road side stand, it oddly has the feel of a full blown coffee shop. Smooth, tasty, and satisfying. Went back on our second day because it was so good.

Food was ok. Overpriced for the type of food. I think you must be paying more for the location than anything else. The waiters were nice but one was very new and repeatedly kept checking on you.

The best coffee in town and the cutest little cart you ever did see. The coffee is delicious with lots of varieties. We were beyond surprised by all of the options. If you are an almond milk kinda person, well they have that too. They accept cards which is a bonus. The homemade pastries are so so good. The stuffed pretzel might be my new favorite thing ever. Open from 6:30-2:30 and if your lucky, you will get some good puppy kisses outside. Stopping here is a must. We will absolutely be back.

Not worth the price. The meatballs had been frozen and thawed. The noodles were rubbery. Everything had tomatoes or pesto so it wasn't friendly to those with gout. Good service though.

Coffee drinks well done. Had mixed berry coffee cake - very tasty. Worth the 5 mile detour off US 6 plus a beautiful view of the mountains in Great Basin National Park.

Ate here multiple times while exploring Great Basin. Everything was delicious and really appreciated the vegan menu items!

Totally 5 stars, especially for such a small town. An excellent spot to get a hot cup of whatever you please, excellent service, and an awesome little restaurant space. I hope a place like this will be around everytime I get a chance to explore Great Basin.

Hot paninis and a plethora of great coffee, from lattes to cold brew and my particularly picky wife loved the coffee. The woman working the morning we showed up was incredibly pleasant and talked to us about the town. A nice break from roughing it in the park.
