Sugar, Salt & Malt Restaurant
Review of Sugar, Salt & Malt Restaurant
Sugar, Salt & Malt Restaurant:
Sugar, Salt & Malt Restaurant is a cozy and welcoming spot located in Baker, Nevada. The restaurant offers a variety of dishes, including pizza, pasta, quiche, and more. The menu is not extensive, but it has something for everyone. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is relaxed and casual.
The restaurant is a great option for those visiting Great Basin National Park, as it is one of the few dining options in the area. The restaurant has a decent beer selection and a full-service bar. The homemade cheesy bread is a must-try, and the Ragu over pasta is a popular dish among customers. The vegan menu items are also appreciated by many customers.
The breakfast options are limited, but the restaurant is a cute spot for breakfast in a town with basically no other options. However, some customers have expressed disappointment with the breakfast burrito. The dinner menu is more extensive and offers fine dining options in a place where one would not expect it. The 6oz Ribeye dinner is a customer favorite.
The prices are a bit high, but customers appreciate that the restaurant is one of the few options in the area. The restaurant has a small menu, but there is a little something for everyone. The decor is lovely, and the staff is accommodating. The restaurant is open for dinner from 4:30 pm to 8:00 pm on certain nights.
If you are looking for a place to grab a bite to eat before the ascent up Great Basin National Park or just driving through, Sugar, Salt & Malt Restaurant is a perfect place to stop by.

Came in, sat down and the rest was history. Great meal with great flavor. The Ragu over pasta yummy. The pasta was home made just like the roll. The beer was cold and tasty. The Ringer Pilsner was delicious.

The breakfast sandwich and breakfast burrito were delicious. They also had some some shaded outdoor seating where we could eat and have our dog with us. Great little spot!

Fresh and quality food. I had the best thin crust pizza, you can feel the crunch. The story of the chef and the restaurant itself is so inspiring. This is a must visit if you are in the small beautiful town of Baker.

A cappuccino!! And a breve’ cappuccino at that!! Wow. In the middle of nowhere…..Well not really…in Baker NV at the gateway of the Great Basin National Park! These ladies have opened a culinary delight. They are experienced chefs and are bringing their passion to this gorgeous area! We enjoyed quiche and espresso and understand the dinner is delightful!! I give it 5🤩 anyday anywhwere

Great restaurant with friendly service and cute vibe! Everything was delicious and prices were reasonable. Not a huge menu but definitely something for everyone and options for the kids as well. This is the perfect place in town for a nice dinner if you’re visiting the National Park or just driving through.

Darling coffee shop and delicious food! They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner here with a small break in-between. They're open Friday through Tuesday. Best place to get a latte in over 100 miles 💞

We stayed in Baker for 1 night while visiting Great Basin NP and had dinner in this place.
Lovely people, good food, nice ambiance.
We would recommend eating here!
Also visit the shop across the street.

Glad they exist considering the food options in town. The pizza is just ok but there is a decent beer selection.

Looking for some ice cream after ur hike to the bristlecone pine grove on Mt Wheeler. Stopped in to find out they do not serve ice cream. The friendly server said they do have home made ice cream sandwiches. Wife had the chocolate chip with vanilla and I have the Mint chocolate chip on sugar cookies. All made in the house. The Mint cream was made with mint that the chef harvested from their garden.

Best coffee hands down for 1000 miles! Whip cream is made fresh and very rich. We stopped here for 3 days to have breakfast. Breakfast burrito +5 stars. Simple perfection! They have 3 spaces to sit perfect if you want to be inside outside and or loud or quite. We sat outside and just relaxed for a few hours making plans for our next national park. Staff was super friendly and cheerful. Really a gem of a place. Can't wait to come back.
