Penelope's Lil' Cafe

First time I've eaten here and it was great! To They did run out of steak though, so I got an omelette. Not a big deal as the omelette was fantastic too

I have been here a few times,often unfriendly service staff. Waited 15 or 20 minutes to try to get my coffee refilled, and then told we had been there too long. We had been there 40 minutes. If my coffee had been filled earlier, this would not have been a problem. There isn't a lot of room inside, and it's always a pretty loud environment. Today was my last visit.

Great food , delicious strong mimosas , fast service and great customer service. I’m very picky and everything was amazing.

Stopped for Sunday breakfast and were able to sit outside to enjoy the weather and neighborhood. We enjoyed all the beverages: coffee, water, and mimosas! My breakfast plate was exactly what I wanted: fluffy veggie omelette with cheese, crispy buttery hashbrowns, wheat toast with butter and jelly upon request, and a side of green salsa. Our service was polite and our plates came out quickly after we ordered. It's a small, friendly spot you should try out.

Lil place but great, quick food. We had breakfast with family group of 11. They let us reserve a table. 😊

The price for the portions was great. The food was pretty good. The gravy on the biscuits and gravy was a little floury, but that seems to be common across Nebraska. The cafe is cute and there is a pretty good menu selection. Our service wasn’t great. We were asked to sit on the patio, but the only table on the patio was directly in the sun on a 100 degree day and we had a toddler with us and the server told us we couldn’t sit at the open table inside because it was kept open in case larger parties came in (none did in the entire time that we were there). It just seems silly to keep 12 seats open in case a party that large happens to come in. Overall it was good, I just wish our experience with the service had been better.

Didn’t know what to expect but it was better than IHOP! The service was amazing and the pancakes were PERFECT!

It was super busy and I thought it would take forever to be seated, waited on and out food to arrive. It wasn't that way at all!!! Service was great and food was fantastic!

Good breakfast! Their food is good priced and good quality. Small inside so it’s usually pretty busy

My fiancé and I tried this spot for the first time today. We were highly impressed!! The service was great, the atmosphere was wonderful and the food was the BEST breakfast in Lincoln hands down!! We will be back!
