Minnesota Nice Cafe

This was my first time in this restaurant and it will be my last. The restaurant was clean, pleasant, and the staff were great. The food was off...The pancakes tasted off, the eggs were more on the fried side (I asked for over easy) the hash browns tasted like grease. The coffee was great as was the bacon. For me...This place was a bust!

Very nice little cafe! We brought grandma here for lunch on her 83 birthday. The staff were very nice and even brought out a birthday treat with a candle and sang for her!

So every restaurant has periods when they're in the weeds. Food took a LONG time to get out of the kitchen. Food was good/nice. Wait staff was very friendly Lots of good reviews, thinking we had an atypical experience.

The Minnesota Nice Cafe is fabulous! Very conscientious about customers with food allergies and sensitivities. Our server Melanie was so sweet and personable. The three of us ladies from the Pacific Northwest thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We'll be back!

Amazing food, I have never ordered anything I haven’t liked! My all time favorites are the cranberry wild rice bread and cheese potatoes casserole!

After researching places to eat my buddy and I settled on this Cafe. We stopped in on a Thursday around 11:30 am to get a bite to eat. It appeared to be busy. The sign on the wall said "Please wait to be seated". We waited in the entrance for about 10 minutes. I felt as if we were invisible to staff. We were only acknowledged because the cashier overheard us tell another customer we were waiting to be seated. She told us in a not so Minnesota nice tone that she would be with us when she could. We stood in the doorway while more customers filtered inside. The cashier contined to take payment from customers done eating while still ignoring the customers waiting to be seated. An elderly gentleman and two elderly women stood there just as long as we did without being acknowledged by staff. We ended up leaving along with multiple other customers. We wanted to support a small local business but ended up going to Country Kitchen instead. Country Kitchen's food and service was excellent! I'm very disappointed to say the least with the service of the Minnesota Nice Cafe! Would not recommend.

Best breakfast I've had in awhile. the portions were massive, the service was wonderful, the coffee is good. Everything was just excellent, I had the gluten-free toast and it was awesome. I also had the home made corned beef hash. Wowsa.

Typically, MN Nice offers "on time" service with take out orders. Today I, again, did not have that experience. The online order indicated a "ready to pick up time" for 11:52 AM. However, my order was not ready until 12:02 PM. Am I too rigid with my pick up times and not flexible when I have to wait a few, or 10 extra minutes? When at work, yes. The 1st time this happened, I was told upon arriving to pick up my order that it would be another 15 minutes or so, which put me late for another appt. and as I couldn't wait that "extra" time, and even though I had already paid for the order, I asked the wait staff to "pay it forward" to someone dining in.
I'm not in the kitchen, the chefs are. During their busy times of the day, please take that into account when indicating on the online order receipt the time, so, especially on a work 1/2 hour lunch break, the time spent driving to the cafe to pick up the order and back to work, is within the designated time frame. Thank you.

We were looking for a breakfast place on our way through Bemidji, and this place did not disappoint!! Can not say enough good things about our WONDERFUL server Allison!! Her bright smile, amazing service, sunny attitude all turned this day from an average day into an exceptional one. You rock Allison!!!
