Wild Hare Bistro is definitely a rabbit hole you want to go down to discover outstanding food with unique wholesome food with depth in flavor. Because the cook's /owners have previously worked at Concordia Language Village a multicultural Camp here in Bemidji area they bring a diverse palate from around the world to this little Bistro which anchors a strong "Artsy" groove.
Open for breakfast & lunch and sometimes special occasion for art showings, specialized dinner events. Staff are always welcoming and provide a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy a family-friendly food experience inside or out on the quaint little patio. Wheelchair and handicap accessible. Nursing Mom Friendly & an open and accepting atmosphere for ALL walks of life.
And an absolute awesome choice for vegetarian/vegan choices from hummus plates, Veggie wraps & sandwiches & wild rice salads!
Like other cafes and restaurants they also host art showings on a regular basis participating in Bemidji 1st Friday Art & Sculpture Walk.
☆☆☆☆ four stars because they do need a little bit of updating on some of the decor however it's easy to forgive considering the exceptional taste & quality of the food.

My favorite coffee shop in Bemidji! Awesome vibes, friendly staff, really good food and coffee! They have a rotating sandwich and soup special of the day. Highly recommend!!

A comfy Cafe tucked away in downtown Bemidji.
Playful people who gladly went along with my "surprise me" request on the beverage menu. They asked a few questions and actually put real thought into it and discussed between the employees what to make this time.
Tons of beverage options. It would take an entire year of college visits to hit them all.
Medium-Small sized menu for food. Though they seem to improvise if you ask and they are able.
I'll swing back when I'm able, and recommend it to some friends that appreciate these kinds of places.

The Wild Hare is a nice, authentic place. The style and atmosphere seems sincere and old style, which is really unique and is not something I've seen a lot of. The coffee is really good, and not crazy sugary. The staff are nice and seem to be hard working, especially since it can be a busy place.
If you like good coffee or want a place to have a good sandwich, try this place out!

Great coffee and food! My personal favorite for breakfast is the strawberry/cream cheese stuffed french toast + a large mocha!

Wild Hare Bistro and Coffee is a pretty decent place, a bit on the high end as price goes, with food that's worth what you're paying for. Its a nice place, with a lot of good art as well, and the atmosphere is good for a quick bite and a friendly conversation. Were I vegan, I'd star this up at least one more, as their vegan offerings are great as well. As I'm more of a fast, easy, and greasy sort, its not really for me, but my wife swears by it and would easily five star it.

Amazing little cafe. Staff are super friendly and the food is AMAZING. The French toast with strawberries and cream cheese is to die for. My boyfriend had the Cuban burrito and he said that was delicious as well. Best mocha I’ve ever had. Too bad we live 7 hours away, otherwise we would be here all the time!

I stopped into Wild Hare for the first time today. I'll definitely be back! The staff was helpful, friendly and efficient. The latte and scone I had were both delicious. Cool, fun atmosphere, too!

Skip the chains and get your lunch here. Excellent sandwiches:

The tuna salad sandwich is excellent.
