I went in to get coffee with my family. Four coffees were over 30.00. The woman at the counter was very rude to all of us. Overall just a terrible experience. After reading multiple reviews and seeing how the owner throws out the racism card and talks/treats their customers. It makes me think maybe we were up charged and treated the way we were for not being of the same skin color. Sad to say but racism goes every which way sad that this business partakes in racist tactics. Especially so openly on Google. Buyer beware do not support this business.

The response from the ‘owner’ is a blatant lie. I did not order a large and I specifically ordered one of the specialty lattes. As were both of the other coffees also we did not order large. Please do not tell lies in order to make yourself look better. This business is a scam. Blatantly making up lies and invalid excuses to validate them over charging.. not one of us customized any drink. Sickening the response is absolutely sick!

Awesome owner! Amazing coffee & atmosphere. I felt like I was transported to some small and cool shop in Chicago/LA.

The worker seemed really sweet when I went. I have gone two times so far, and both times were really nice. I recommend going!

Had to work downtown for a couple of hours. I was greeted with a friendly “Good morning!” from the woman behind the counter as soon as I walked in. I ordered a medium Americano with cream and a pump of vanilla. It was delicious. I sat outside on a pleasant morning and ordered another cup once I was finished with the first. I will definitely go back!

Hands down the best latte I’ve ever had! The breakfast sandwiches and pastries are incredible. A must when you’re in GR!

Would rate 0 stars if I could… Horrible business ran by even worse business owners. Me and my family stopped inside to grab a couple drinks while exploring art prize. We got 3 frozen lemonades and a strawberry banana smoothie. The lemonades were definitely different and something tasted off. We kindly set the frozen lemonades on the counter and said we personally didn’t like them and didn’t want to load up their trash can. The owner was ringing up another customer so we grabbed a couple pops and a water to drink out of the cooler with plans to pay once he was done with the current customer. As soon as we sat down he stopped what he was doing and started yelling for no reason about how we needed to pay. We said that we planned to pay and not to worry because we weren’t leaving without giving him his money. He then started calling us terrible people and rude. The lady who made the drinks also chimed in saying after 14 years nobody has ever said they didn’t like her drinks and she’s never taken back any drinks she’s ever made. She said the reason they tasted the way they did was because there was honey in them. Honey in frozen lemonade? I understand that this is the way they do it and that is okay. But we simply did not like them and there was no sign stating that honey was in them or else we wouldn’t have got them. What if we were allergic to honey? They were very unprofessional and rude in the way they spoke to us. Not to mention for $28 the drinks were disgusting and not worth it. As business owners they should take responsibility and understand not everyone is going to like what they have… that is life. People have their own opinions. I was thinking they might have just had a bad day and that is what caused them to act in such a way. But after reading reviews I can see this is a reoccurring thing. Business owners who can’t take criticism and are very rude. Do not waste your time or money.

In Grand Rapids there is a coffee shop run by a lovely local. It's quiet there, they move at their own pace. A quick coffee you will not get, but you can leave the hustle and bustle behind. It's my favourite coffee shop in Grand Rapids.

It is an amazing small Black, Immigrant, Female owned business! The food is literally so good! The owner is incredibly sweet with fast service! Definitely will be going there again!

We just stopped from out of town with the fam. Initially was going to stop at Madcap but it was too busy and it didn’t look like they served anything other than coffee and desert. Decided to take a chance on Local Mocha. Was happy we did. Great food, great coffee and service with a smile. Don’t listen to the naysayers who have an axe to grind….👍🏻🙂

Love love love this coffee joint! The owner is a sweetheart and the decor is absolutely adorable, been a costumer here since 2015 and they’ve never disappointed. Highly recommend if you’re in the GR area!
