I started buying espresso beans here due to a recommendation from a friend, and their espresso roast is decent, but due to a few reasons, I am no longer going to patronize this establishment:

1. The biggest issue is their total lack of customer service. The employee attitudes range from indifferent to flat out rude. I do not need to drive out here from TC to be treated so poorly. Especially beware when dealing with the owner's son. He is not outwardly rude, but he is so indifferent towards customers that it is infuriating.

2. They do not care about whole bean purchases. The employees wait until no one else is in the shop before weighing beans. I have been in there on more than one occasion where I paid for my 5lb bag of beans, and then had to wait more than 20 minutes for the staff to serve everyone else (including people who came in long after my order) before getting to the beans that I have paid for.

3. They put false opening hours on their website. I have checked their hours on their website, drove all the way out from TC, only to find the shop closed. When I called to say something to the employees, they could not have cared less and did not update the website hours.

4. Their beans are old and of low quality. They get trapped in double conical grinder, and they are typically so old, that they never brew up quite right.

I will also add that I have started buying my beans at Higher Grounds. Their beans are fresher, of a much higher quality, and the staff is very friendly.

Most exceptional coffee, and the service was wonderful. Simply a lovely place to hang out with friends or family while enjoying the coffee.

I had a cafe mocha in this eclectic little touristy coffee shop. It was decent with a good balance of flavors. Not too sweet and not too bitter. Take note Starbucks. I'm not sure I agree with their "Best mocha in Michigan" sign, but I didn't throw it out either. The employees seemed to have a good time interacting with each other but there was not much effort to interact with customers while I was there. If you are just there for the coffee, they have a good variety and seem to know what they are doing.

This is a great basic coffee shop. The options are limited in the area but I enjoyed what I ordered. It was a little slow because it was the off season. I was glad to have fresh espresso and thankful to have this place!

A great community space for Glen Arbor and the Southwest Leelanau area. Large bright interior with huge windows for those cold or rainy days, spacious outdoor patio that allows for SOCIAL social distancing. My dad and other members of our family have enjoyed going here in the mornings for decades when in Glen Arbor, it’s a great crowd of newcomers and locals and nice dogs and is very friendly. Made a lot of long term friends here. The coffee is a bit controversial to some as they stick to their French press method, but you’ve got to admire someone these days who makes a decision and sticks to it. Have had terrific breakfast sandwiches, have excellent pastries and ice cream..for a healthy breakfast check out their bulletproof coffee. THE Place for coffee in the Sleeping Bear area. Great wifi!

Coffee was good but staff was more concerned with socializing too much with each other and obviously local people and not aware of the line up several people left because of it.

Great spot for coffee in Glen Arbor! Great Miel Latte and Chai Latte, and real nice shady patio out back.

Not just a local favorite, but very much worth a longer trip, or a coffee order through the mail. I live in Iowa, and I think their coffee is the best anywhere, so it's always in my freezer. The varieties are carefully selected, and the roasting is expertly done and highly consistent (I've been buying there since 2004), so you really feel not only that you're getting what you pay for, but getting a true artisan product as well. The cafe inside is small, and can be quite busy in the summer, but has a pleasant selection of pastries and bagels to accompany the excellent coffee. Highly recommended.

I love their coffee!! The Princess Mocha is delicious and a yummy treat when I'm looking for a little more. It's great that their disposable cups are compostable, especially now since you can't bring in your own mugs. I love getting the whole beans to take home but I think it might be time to join the Mud of the Month club.

I ordered 2 8oz bags with 3 day shipping. Ordered on a Monday at 9pm and the order was here Wednesday at noon. The package said priority 1 day so I'm not sure if they paid the extra to get it to me sooner but regardless awesome service especially during a pandemic. And great coffee as well!!

Thanks guys!
