Absolutely delicious blend of fresh bagels and beverages. You can't beat the potato and egg sandwich or just a simple egg and cheese. The new store is awesome with more space, a bagel take out area, kiosk ordering on the way, a few chairs to sit down, and not to worry, they still have a dizzying selection of bottled beverages!
The owners are also operators and always make me feel welcome, while also delivering the best bagel in the area. I'm convinced there's nowhere else that makes bagels fresh daily, and traditional New York style, with perfect balance of bite and chew!
After flying back from London in the morning, I was craving something good from an artisan bagel shop. Spot popped up on Google Maps and this looked like a gourmet bagel shop and was exactly what I was looking for. I had The Beast under Egg Sandwiches (so good) but would've loved a little more Maple syrup, maybe some on the side to dunk my bagel. I also ordered The Classic under Nova Lox and shared that. Both were very delicious. The shop itself had really cool vintage decor and signs hung . There was candy and old-fashioned style sodas for purchase. I had ordered an iced coffee but wasn't crazy about it. You go there though for the bagels, not the coffee. All around great place! Would go back again. Nice parking lot with plenty of parking shared with other nearby businesses.
It was my first visit here and there was a long line-up (it was Saturday afternoon so I kinda expected). I waited more than 30mins for the bagel sandwich but it was worth waiting! And the iced coffee was so good! This is a must-try. In the restaurant literally everyone was having this coffee. I will definitely come back to try other bagels!
The best bagels I’ve ever eaten. And I’ve eaten a lot!! They have an incredible variety of ways to get your bagel and coffee done up, and they’re ALL delicious. Lots of other fun drinks and treats (a lot of retro ones) available for purchase too!!! The decorations and vibes are so fun - and the new location is much more spacious! The staff is always friendly, attentive, and overall AWESOME.
The wait here is just too slow. We went for the first time prepared to have a bit of a line, but we were pleasantly surprised to see only 10 people in front of us. Unfortunately that equated to a wait of over 90 minutes for 2 toasted bagels with cream cheese. It's hard to imagine how anyone ever gets hot food from here with this slow of service.
The bagels we ended up getting weren't warm, but they were very good. It would have been much faster for us to grab the bagels and cream cheese, skip the sandwich line, drive 30 minutes home, and toast the bagels ourselves.
The SPoT! voted as the number 1 bagel place in greater Boston. This place has one of the bagels I have tasted so far! The customer service is awesome and they are very welcoming.
I got six bagels here and order the basic with cream cheese and a fried egg. I also, added in some hot peppers and avocado as well. It was delicious. There variety of bagels to choose from and specialty sodas (pop) in the store.
Can we just appreciate how this small business has grown and become a staple part of the food community in this area. Coveted by many and I'm sure the food daydream of even more. While through covid like many businesses they had a rough go at it on top of it all they have changed location and increased in size and production ability all while still making some of the best bagel sandwiches I've ever personally had as a professional cook. I can't say enough nice things about the staff/family that work here although small. They try their hardest to make sure every person leaves happy and full! So happy to see them grow and progress over the years
One of my favorite places for breakfast and lunch since I was a kid. WELL WORTH THE WAIT!!! Perry takes his time with every single order, making sure everything is made exactly right while keeping the food quality as high as possible. Service is always incredible, Anna is always so sweet we love chatting with her. Nevermind the fact that they make some of the best bagels I have ever had. If you want fast food, hit up the Dunkin’s around the corner. If you want real and delicious fresh food, come to Spot, just get here super early if you want to avoid the line 😉
I love giving reviews here on Google, what I don't love doing is giving bad or 1-star reviews. I figured I would check out SPoT! after a coworker recommended this place for breakfast/brunch, who said they're sandwiches were AMAZING. Unfortunately, I never got the chance to try anything.... So get to Norwood at 7:30am, and I have to be at work for 8am. Upon entering, I saw a sign on the front door that said "Due to staffing problems, the bakery will be closed Mondays and Tuesdays (pretty sure it said those days). Thinking that I can wait about 20-25 for a breakfast sandwich on a Friday morning (also Veteran's Day), but I should have read the reviews about the wait time ahead of time. YOU LITERALLY NEED AN HOUR (if not more) OF YOUR TIME TO WAIT.
There were about 7-8 people in front of me, along with some people at the tables who are either waiting for food or have already eaten, but from the looks of those poor unfortunate souls, looking at the counter with yearning for breakfast, they were all definitely waiting for their sandwiches as well.
Anyways, there's ONE guy working the grill with all the eggs and bacon. It looked like her was the ONLY person working the food part of the bakery. He was getting the bagels out of the oven, filling the the bagels in the baskets, cooking, toasting bagels and making the sandwiches and bagging them. One women was taking orders and writing them on little slips of paper that would then get placed on the cutting board with all the cold cuts, cream cheese and lettuce. Now, back to standing in line, still about 7 people in front me, there are still at least 5-6 orders on the counter that either have already been in the process of being made or still need attention. There's another women behind the counter, but she is standing around, only calling out the names of completed orders, making coffees and not doing anything remotely helpful with managing the orders, but there's not one after the other. The orders are being so slow, slower than molasses, the least this woman could do is assist with the sandwich making, or at least slice and toast the bagels. I get it, you're short staffed, but make you need to take the orders and have the other lady at the register helping make the sandwiches.
After waiting for about 20 minutes and knowing that even if I had been able to place my order I know I wouldn't see it until after 8am. Left without buying anything. I guess this is how it always is. But best of luck to this place it seems like they're successful business and bringing in a lot of money.
I still want to try their food, but maybe I'll have to try later in the afternoon. okay, end rant.
Would you like your food to be mind by the owner who is also an amazing cook in action? How about an outstanding customer service that makes you feel at home? Did I mention delicious and freshly brewed coffee? Then you need to go to Spot! The place where your food couldn’t get any better. I posted the pictures so you know what I am saying and why. Thank you, Perry, sweet Anna and my beautiful Maura! Keep up the wonderful job and we will make sure to always swing by when we are in the area.
