Generally, I really like Amherst Coffee despite its trying-too-hard, fancy atmosphere and overpriced drinks. However, today, I came on a Saturday evening and tried to get some tea to drink while studying. They didn't have wifi after 7pm, which I can understand, but the poor rating was for the abysmal customer service. I waited so long for someone to come to the cash register (over 15 minutes) even though I asked the woman working there if she was still serving (to which she said yes and she would be with me shortly) that I gave up. My boyfriend had slightly better luck getting an alcoholic drink at the bar side, but it still took a long time. The guy serving alcoholic drinks was working hard but needed some help. The woman serving tea/coffee was frequently cleaning instead of making drinks, or simply standing around. I did not end up getting a drink at all, and did not see her make drinks for anyone else during my entire hour or so there.

Delicious coffee and friendly staff in a crowded space. Not conducive to being a single person as booths and tables were taken up by other singles, making it impossible to find seating. Could benefit from more communal space.

Delicious latte, a bit busy though. The line went quick and the barista was on top of things so the wait was not bad at all. Love the atmosphere and have enjoyed every drink I've had

Friendly servers, delicious lattes with almond milk, hearty hot soup, and a cozy shelter from the cold before and after a movie at Amherst Cinema. One tip: when ordering a 12 oz. coffee, be sure to ask for a to-go cup, as the ceramic for-here cup looks like it holds much less than a 12 oz. paper cup holds.

Some of the best coffee in town but so snobby and unwelcoming it sometimes feels like it's not worth it. Great to go by after a movie at Amherst cinema. Love the good quality milk in cappuccinos here.

Amherst Coffee has great coffee and a excellent bar. They usually stock three different kinds of grappa and small batch whiskey. Theres is a small but quality selection of sweets and a good variety of bar eats. The new layout is very spacious and attractive. However, It can be hard to get a table with all the student applesquatters--especially during exam periods . Definately not a PC place. It is convenient located near Amherst Cinema and is a great place for a drink and a snack after a movie.

Bartenders are friendly. There's an insane selection of whisk(e)ys. I don't usually do cocktails but the "dad joke" was nice.

Had a Chai here with my wife and I. First, although I ordered with oat milk they serve me regular cows milk. Luckily I catch it when they are making the second drink and stop my wife before she drinks hers. So I wait and get the correct drinks (have to remind barista the first drink isn't correct either). I don't even get an inkling of the word "sorry". No sign of concern there. Then to top it off these have to be the worst Chai's we ever had. Super bitter. Never coming back here again 👎🏼

Great service great coffee (I suggest the cafe mocha with four shots for other coffee lovers) and plenty of laptop friendly seating. For those of you who care the WiFi is free and was around 30 Mbps even when it was busy.
