Paid $7.50 for a burnt grilled cheese, and the cappuccino unfortunately tasted burnt as well. Extremely overpriced for mediocrity.

I've had mixed feelings about this place since the renovation. The locally own business, and friendly feel is gone. The lavish chairs and tables, the secluded group benches, the overtly formal attired and clean cut bartenders and barista, no more house blend wine option. it screams rich and corporate and urban, and cliquish

I love Amherst Coffee. It's one of my favorite places. On a sunny fall morning, there will be light pouring into the lovely little cafe, students studying, and a group of regulars gathered around the central community table. Their coffee and espresso are top notch yet no fuss. And everyone who works there is great. Thanks for being part of the PV community.

Amherst Coffee with its new renovations is definitely a good place for coffee. The kind of crowd it attracts is def. this cafe's prized possession. The reason for those three stars is simply because their cocktail menu needs a lot of work. I had the OLD 'SOUL' and few other drinks. My 'soul' was about to leave my body after I had that drink. Jokes aside, the place has a lot of potential and I will be visiting again for their fine coffee.

Edit: this used to be my favorite place to go for espresso. However, my most recent visit left much to be desired. Someone took my drink while I was waiting, which could easily be avoided if they adopted a name system. The espresso also tasted more burnt than it did previously (similar to Northampton Coffee).

Previous: To be fair, I've only had their espresso and will only be having their espresso. It's just that good. Every latte I get has a smooth, rich finish that makes me want to stop here everyday. I can confidently say that their espresso is the best I've ever had, and I've had espresso from around the country and Europe. Nothing comes close. My advice is that if you get a large latte, get an extra shot of espresso in it to balance out the milk a bit.

One of my favorite coffee shops in the U.S. not just in Western Massachusetts. Comfortable environment, professional staff. Well stocked bar, whiskey and cocktail menu. Well curated craft beer menu and open late.

Excellent location and ambience, with a nice selection of beverages. I get a lot of work done here. The energy is just great.
If you’re going for a drink, DEF make sure you try the cocktail Highway Man. It’s made my Kale who works here and imho is one of the best and friendliest bartenders in the valley. My friends who come from New York say he’s up there with the best bartenders of the city. Ben is great too, he makes some wicked good hot drinks. Ask for his Dutch hot chocolate cocktail.

I've been a frequent customer at Amherst Coffee for quite a few years. I'm not a coffee expert, but I've never had a bad experience when it comes to their beverages or quality baked goods. As Amherst is a college town, Amherst Coffee can be a pretty busy place at times. Though you can also find it to be a really quiet and peaceful place at certain times of day/ year. I also appreciate the bar, as it's pretty low key and they have a good selection of alcohol. Amherst Coffee is a really nice fixture in our community and I will continue to support them for years to come!

Amherst coffee blends a trendy, earthy coffee-shop experience with local charm, and most importantly of all, serves delicious coffee, espresso and tea. Service is always polite, but at least one Batista has made me feel slightly unwelcome.

Prices are comparable to Starbucks, but the quality is more than competitive. If you're looking for latte art with a good drink underneath, this is the place.

A very warm and cozy place. They have great coffee for brain and soul. I also miss their white tea and numerous joyful afternoon.
They open very early. I always took a cup of hot before my early Peter Pan Bus.
