Cozy little shop to grab a coffee and pastry or even get a sandwich. Super friendly staff that goes out of the way to make you feel at home.

Seating is limited inside; however, you can also sit outside weather permitting.

Very clean shop that is located right by the little boardwalk and beach.

Cute little hometown bake shop and cafe. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Baked goods are delish but I'd say the coffee is only okay. Still will go back for the hometown atmosphere and the friendly staff.

Good coffee is a must for me everywhere I go. I was visiting my brother and his fiancée for a few days and we stopped in. Needless to say we came back every day, lavender latte was so good, lavender fog was equally delicious, and so was the caramel macchiato. All of the pastries were so fresh and despite my need to avoid gluten I did indulge in a couple bites because they were SO good. I was super sad when I came in to grab some gf pumpkin brown sugar muffins for the road and they weren’t done, but that just meant more for someone else! Talk about a little gem, will definitely be stopping in when I visit again. Thanks so much for making my mornings wonderful while there in North Beach! ☺️

Breakfast sandwich gave me heartburn. No place to sit, and no public bathrooms. I won't be a repeat customer.

I ordered the 10" pistachio and fig cake for my husband's birthday. It was gorgeous. My expectations were far exceeded. This same cake at a big city bakery would be easily 3-4 times as expensive. My only caution is to order small. We were about a dozen people and we only put a dent in this cake.

Apparently it takes 35 minutes for 2 iced coffees.

The coffee was good. However when you have 2 simple drinks to make, nothing else on the order that should take priority over more complicated drinks and food orders. I noticed a gentleman behind me wait long as well for a single cup of black coffee...

The blueberry muffins were delicious. Was hoping they could add some local Chesapeake lunch items like maybe a crab cake sandwich or rockfish tenders...etc.

The new owner has made this place into what I’ve always wanted it to be! I used to go here as a child & when I got older I grew not to like it. Once I found out about the new owner, I gave it another shot. The bakist is amazing! They are a safe space with great coffee & great food. The lavender latte & breakfast wrap are now my go tos.

This shop is the most exciting thing to happen to NB in recent times in my opinion. The food, drinks, atmosphere, and message are all amazing. Give the lavender latte a chance (tho my personal favorite is raspberry)! Quiche is to die for. Will be back to visit every single time I'm in my hometown.

I'm very disappointed with the new place that took over Sweet Sue's. Sweet sue's went out of their way for me and my wedding I came to the new place to get some cake and cupcakes because of my allergy issues for my wedding a week ago and was told that the new owner does not cater to people like me.
What a BIG difference in business.
