A few locals told me to give this place a try and I'm so glad that I did. Upon entering I was immediately greeted by a smile and a warm welcome. Breakfast menu was easy to navigate and the display of sweets and pastries made it simple to order. Place is very neat, organized and clean. I ordered a double espresso, sausage egg and cheese on a croissant with a blueberry muffin. They offered to warm my muffin which I hadn't had done before. Everything is full of wonderful flavor and I will absolutely be returning. 10/10 definitely recommend!

Pro: Nice Atmosphere. Friendly staff. Timely service. Interesting food. The store has a sense of community. -3 stars for Pros-
Cons:
Prices. I did not see the cost of the merch posted, listed, or attached to items, on the menu bboard, or detailed on our emailed receipt. How much were the T-shirt and wooden postcards? I still don't know but I am certain they were very-very expensive. Cool wooden postcards!
Receipts. I asked for, but was unable to get a paper receipt from the clerk at the counter. She was, however, able to pull one for the storefront and keep it. The clerk informed me the store was saving paper.
Tips. Red Flag - I am old school. Requesting gratuity b4 delivering service is backward - even covertly by blaming the technology, and then, asking me to finish the checkout order on the screen and the tip amount pops up - convenient, but tacky. The process embarrasses customers and staff. BTW, is the staff being compensated adequately; and, what is the storefront's policy for distributing tips among them?

Very charming if you sit outside. Coffee is fine.

Small coffee shop with baked goods, some food items, and coffee drinks. A nice spot to stop in after a stroll on the boardwalk in North Beach.

A wonderful place to grab a coffee and a fast bite. Staff is friendly and fast, food is delicious. Great smoothies and a decent coffee selection. Baked goods and quiche seem to take the lead here, but the hot breakfast (pictured: sausage, egg and cheese croissant) is exceptional for the price (less than $6). Seems to only be an entrance from Bay Ave. Unisex restroom for customers only.

The Bakist is a scrumptious gem right in the heart of North Beach,MD Everything from their bagels, sandwiches, croissants, cupcakes and other treats are all made with love and made in their shop. My husband and I stumbled upon the Bakist as we were exploring North Beach for the day…we will be making regular trips to NB just to grab goodies from the Bakist!

We come to The Bakist quite frequently & love it! The best spot to grab breakfast & coffee and take a stroll by the beach afterwards. I almost always get the Breakfast Club on a croissant (which is heavenly!) but today we branched out- tried the Avocado Toast w/ Pesto & the Breakfast Wrap- both were delicious! Service is excellent, food, baked goods, coffee, vibe- such a great spot! Today was also the most crowded I’ve ever seen it, yet everything came out quick & just as tasty as ever.

I can't believe I haven't rated this place sooner! This place is less than a block off of the Chesapeake Beach boardwalk. They have very good pastries, donuts and eclairs. They offer quiche as well as many other breakfast options. Their coffee is stellar and hands down the best coffee I found in the area. Not to be compared with 4 bucks or dork n donuts. They are dog friendly dogs not allowed inside but there is outside seating. They keep a bowl of water right out the front of the building.

Nice small local bakery/sandwhich shop. They had some fantastic looking oversized cookies, eclairs, and other treats. We had the Brownie to die for along with the tuna fish croissant. Both were were very good and hit the spot. The staff was very friendly and efficient.
