I ordered avacado toast and there was hardly any avacado on the toast. Atleast they should clearly state order extra avacado, as you expect a proper avacado toast @ tatte.

Lattes were excellent, and the lamb hash had so many great flavors, ridiculously good, and affordable (though I am visiting from California where I'm used to prices 60% higher for this kind of meal, so take that with a grain of salt).

Had a fabulous brunch today . The Shakshuka is exceptional, but even more significant was the kindness showed me by the manager May and Chef Damian, with super strong gale force winds I needed assistance getting to my hotel 4 blocks away. . May and Damian escorted this super senior and supported me physically as they walked me to the hotel. GREAT FOOD PLUS EXTRAORDINARY COMPASSION deserves TEN stars.

This is a fantastic new addition to the Bethesda area. Their menu is filled with incredible options at fair prices. The breakfast sandwich, boreka, and croissant were excellent. Easy pickup via mobile order or you can order at the store and takeout.
There is some outdoor seating available even while construction in the area finishes. I recommend taking out and then walking to 7200 Wisconsin Avenue to sit in the outdoor seating area just down the block!

Tatte was great when it first opened on the area, but they’ve clearly grown too fast as the food quality has suffered and the overall quality control is haphazard. Sandwiches that are all bread, lost parts of orders, etc - we’re done eating here for a long time.

Great pastry and coffee spot with NYC and Paris vibes all wrapped up in one place. Beautiful interior, bustling and nice atmosphere. You can’t go wrong with the croissant, baguette and all of the pastries. Linzer cookie was buttery, baguette had a nice crunchy exterior with a chewy interior. Almond croissant was ok, but tasted like it was made yesterday. Cardamom halva latte was surprisingly delicious and not as sweet as I was expecting.

I normally order online, but their system was down today so I went in person.
Not only did the barista get my drink to go in a jiff, they also spelled my name right. And hand wrote it. Legibly.
It’s the simple things that keep me coming back, not just the food and the coffee (both of which are excellent).

Pretty good but could use some small improvements! Overall, the food and service are good. Coffee/tea is plentiful and delicious. They have a beautiful bakery section with freshly created pastries, cookies, breads, and more. Their savory options are fabulous too.
Ordering online is pretty easy but sometimes wait times can be quite long for pickup orders.
I have had just a few notable issues in my time going here:
- Once when dining in, the server placed an apparently very hot pan of shakshuka in front of me. She did not warn me that the pan had evidently just been in the oven, or at least that's how it felt when I touched it. I burned my thumb and middle finger and it felt like it was burning the rest of the day, and left a mark for about a week. It felt and looked like a layer of skin was singed off. 🥲 I didn't see her after that and didn't get a chance to tell her what had happened. So that sucked.
- I ordered lunch for delivery (they deliver through Doordash) and added a container of their house-made cookies to my order. When my order arrived, there were no cookies, but a note from Tatte saying that they were out of those cookies and that I should pursue a refund with Doordash. Tatte did not notify me before the order was delivered, nor were the cookies listed as out of stock on their website. I had to call Doordash and explain the issue to get a refund. I don't think it ever came through.
Other than those two incidents, I have enjoyed my time at Tatte.

This place is definitely a vibe. The quality of savory food is okay…I don’t feel I would recommend trying the savory dishes. However, the desserts and the atmosphere are 💯!
