Well. To start, 1 straw, for two drinks, just doesn't work. For the price, the meal was just ok. I was expecting something way better than the Cafe around the corner, but it wasn't. And the edges on the bread are just a little too thick and tough. And the $2 charge for extra bacon, that was non existent; that's awesome.
No jelly or jam provided with so much bread on the sandwich, so it was tough to get thru. The coffee has grit in it, that I've never seen in a coffee drink, I had to pour a lot out and add water. That didn't do anything but make the grit worse. . It's weird. The blood orange hibiscus wasn't what I expected. It's unsweetened and has an overpowering tea taste.
Overall, I won't be back.

Tatte should put to go orders in a secure place not up for grabs out in the open. My order was taken by someone else and after letting the staff know it took over an hour of waiting to get my new order. Shouldn’t I have been the priority since I ordered about 1:23 minutes ago but they said they were very busy which I understand but come on. My order should have been expedited. I blame this place for leaving the orders out for anyone to take. Most places you have to give your name and it’s safely behind the counter. I get this takes more time but it prevents random strangers from stealing or even potentially putting something in people’s food! Recommending they start keeping the orders behind the coffee bar or something!

Nice looking place with good food. BUT, you may get the wrong order and there is no way to contact anyone to rectify that. I ordered a whole bunch of take out things this morning. When I arrived home and looked in the bag there was about half the stuff I ordered, and some of the order I did get was different. It happens, of course, but the frustrating part is that there is no way to contact the place once you’ve left. The phone number is just an automated message saying “we’re sorry we can’t come to the phone”, no matter how many times you call.

Very delicious. We got there at 8am on a Sunday and there were a fair amount of people there, but no line. After I ordered we waited outside for our food and drinks, which came out very quickly. Pastries taste super fresh and have great flavor!

I was so excited to see that Tatte had expanded to DC! They were always one of my favorites in Cambridge. I love the house latte. The fruit box was delicious, as usual, and included a huge strawberry! I'll definitely be back for brunch and one of their signature nut tarts.

Tasty as tatte is always. Went at 5 pm and they still had everything we ordered and even a solid showing of pastries too for so late in the day. Each dish is so flavorful.

I tried the morning bun, kouign-amann, and cheesecake - bakery side of things is delicious! Cafe seems pretty crowded most of the time though, and the beverages were just okay.

The food and pastries range from okay to really good. On my most recent visit, I was disappointed to find that the passion fruit krembo was just not good. It was very grainy and sugary. My sandwich was meh as well. The bread to filling ratio could use improvement. Other times, I've really enjoyed my visit, so I guess it's a gamble.

Finally! Tatte has come to Bethesda. The decor and European cafe vibes are the same as the other DC locations, and the pasties and baked goods are excellent as well! They have ample space for social distancing and are not yet open for dine in, but have a pick up counter with text notifications to reduce waiting inside.

Bethesda Tatte is beautiful and they have delicious pastries and lattes. The only reason I took away a star was because they wrote “Chen” instead of Jen on the order, but I will just blame it on the mask.
