Tandem Coffee and Bakery

Easy 6 stars. Biscuit egg and cheese is a masterpiece. Cold brew is excellent, too.

Stopped in for breakfast before leaving Portland. There was a decent sized line that moved quickly and there’s picnic tables all throughout the from to sit at. The tables do have umbrellas up so you are shaded, but there were quite a few bees out that morning. I can’t blame the bees for wanting some of everyone’s food. This was by far the best biscuit sandwich I’ve had. Hands down the best biscuit! It was soft, moist and just the right amount of sweet. They do have a water bowl outside if you have a dog and they have a place to tie up your bike. If you stay at the Francis Hotel you can get breakfast delivered to your room if you feel like having breakfast in bed. I’d definitely eat here again and next time take some biscuits for the road.

There are no wrong choices, but if you aren't getting a biscuit sandwich then you might be making a mistake

The sticky bun and tea were delicious, but the parking and seating were very limited, even midmorning. This is a great little place, but it is neither inexpensive nor quiet. However, if your goal is finding quality baked goods and hot drinks, this is the place to go!

Waited nearing 45 minutes. Was excited to get some coffee. Due to my thick African accent, Lady there was extremely judgemental and laughed at me. I felt unwanted and uncomfortable by the staff.This place does not respect nor appreciate people of color.

Unique, tasty bakery items. Their drip coffee wasn't my favorite on the day we visited. I'd give them another shot.

Coffee was ok. I was most excited to try the black sesame banana bread but the black sesame was very very subtle. Could barely tell the difference between a normal banana bread. Spelt coconut tea bread was pretty good. A little more dense than I was expecting.

Food was decent, I appreciate some of the unique flavors. However, some of the staff, including the manager on duty, were extremely rude and condescending. Very unprofessional and immature. Learn some respect!

Best scones and jalapeno biscuits EVER....both made perfectly. Delicious coffee. Cool place. Nice staff. Yummy food.

Holy god. No wonder people line up in the morning. So worth it. Get the stuff that sounds weird, like pepper plum pie. That is amazing. Also the everything scone!!!
