Blueberry scone was awesome. Bathroom available. Parking available. Nice places to grab morning coffee/beer. ☕🍺

UTTERLY DELIGHTFUL. Everything is delicious. Great vibes. Great food.

We had the loaded biscuit (butter and jam), a sausage, egg and cheese biscuit, a molasses ginger cookie, and a chocolate chip cookie.

Everything was crazy good.

Stopped in for a quick capp and scone before a road trip. The location is gorgeous and the scone had a very healthy slathering of jam and butter. Coffee was on point.

We tried a little bit of everything and loved it all!! Daily quiche was wonderful with oyster mushrooms, my husband raved about the biscuit with butter and jam, I loved the breakfast sandwich (probably will go back for that before we leave Portland), and the rhubarb hibiscus pie was tart and perfect. Coffee was also great! I tried the malt ice coffee 👍👍👍

Best breakfast sandwiches in Portland! Get there early or order online and pickup. Worth the wait!

The dark juniper cake and the jam/butter biscuit was exquisite! The hot cider went well with it too

@tandemcoffeeroasters - this was the most recommended place to visit when in Portland, Maine - and I can see why…
.
Famous for their biscuits… I am not the biggest biscuit fan, they tend to be dry… I would rarely get a biscuit on it own unless it comes with my meal…
.
The line was out the door on a Wednesday morning. It was already packed on their outdoor seating area, but the lines move quickly. It seems like many people know what they want, most locals at the time I visited. That says a lot about a place when lots of locals are going…
.
They’re not like your French pastry shop, no croissants or danishes, but rather, biscuits, scones, baked breads and pies… the heavier kind of pastries…
.
The biscuits were huge… like, ginormous… the buttermilk biscuit is only $3… the flavored/loaded ones range from $4-6, which still isn’t a bad price for what you get. And more importantly, it was very good… it was not dense at all, but rather light. Not as light as croissant though… the buttermilk biscuit doesn’t need anything.
.
I did get their IG worthy loaded biscuit with butter and jam.. loaded is the word… maybe too loaded… but the biscuit is big so to some it could be the right ratio…
.
@tandemcoffeeroasters is definitely a must when in Portland. Aside from their biscuits, their scones are good too… scones are not dry at all…

From the amazing vibe (I think it used to be a gas station!) and super cozy atmosphere to the super unique and delicious coffee, and finally to the SCRUMPTOUS breakfast sandwiches...this is the stop you want for a morning in Portland. They had a roast that had melon and green tea notes, so if that has any indication, this is one adventurous and amazing coffee shop!

We've all had pastries and baked goods from a coffee shop. It's not passé, but it is no longer exciting. That's where this bakery stands apart. The fennel chocolate cookie being one of the many standout examples.

Tandem's reputation in coffee precedes it, so I won't elaborate.

Outstanding and worth a visit.
