Josie's Country Store & Cafe

Pleasantly surprised! Pretty swanky dining porch with delicious Asian and American cuisine. They also have a full bar and extensive local beer selection. Great drinks too! Will definitely return!

Super friendly owners/staff. Great food allready and they aren’t afraid to tweak it any way you want. Very accommodating. Then That’s not even the good parts of the store great beer cave! Better then Your typical down east convenience and cafe store. Other local stores are going to have to step up their game now. A new contender has arrived!

Most unorganised slow and terrible service. Overcharged. Small portions. Won't go back.

I absolutely love Josie's cafe and country store! They are the sweetest people and have some of the best food!

Josie’s is a sparkling clean family-owned oasis just outside of Ellsworth and the convenience store / cocktail bar mashup you didn’t know you were missing. It’s amazing. The steak egg and cheese bagel (“the crown jewel”) was the best breakfast sandwich I have ever had, and we had a lovely round of drinks while we waited for our food to be ready.

Plan to spend a little time here because they have an unparalleled inventory of wine, beer, snacks, and local Maine goods and you will leave wondering whether you managed to discover everything there is to offer. Don’t worry, you’ll be back!

Consistently delicious food and service.

Amazing. They really did a great job with the remodel. It has elegant and sexy architecture and decorations. The setting is perfect, for just about anyone. Whether you're classy or not, you'll fit right in. Beer selection if perfect and the food is fantastic.

Always a great place to stop! It doesn't matter if it's something from the cooler, take out, or dine in...food is great!
And even if you're just there to grab a soda, the service is great. The owner is way too funny!

Blonde waitress super unfriendly and that’s putting it nicely. She seemed highly annoyed when taking our orders to go. (Just now) and we are waiting on our order. Hopefully the food is great

Also, instead of asking what do you want on your salads and sandwiches maybe tell us what comes with it or have it on your menu. How are we suppose to know what’s on your sandwiches and salads?
