I had an amazing Curry chicken salad on marble rye. At first I thought six bucks was a bit pricey for a sandwich but after one bite I wasn't even thinking about the price. Well worth the money. Everyone had a smile on their face and looked very inviting and pleased to be there. That counts for so much in my opinion. Would definitely recommend.

Cute store and outdoor - converted - to - indoor restaurant. Great convenience store. Restaurant had a great menu selection, but was out of half the items we were interested in. The chicken in my Greek salad with grilled chicken was "off," didn't quite smell right. I should have sent it back. Service was friendly and good, but the waitress we had was what I'd call a nice kid, but not experienced.

Ate outside in the dead of Winter but the fire table kept us warm. I had the Thai wings which were outstanding and I added an order of their poutine and it was out of this world. How such a place can put out amazing food and be a general store is beyond me. Take a detour and get here!

It was so nice to go to a place in Maine that serves such a great variety of food that doesn’t just specialize in lobster. Our meals were very good and we didn’t have to eat out of a to go box with plastic utensils!

Simply the best. Owner is extremely pleasant. Food was delicious. Coffee hit the spot. Definitely on my list to return.

This place is best secret in the gteater Ellsworth area. Food is fantastic. Staff are exceptional. Stop by inside for the convenience store. All in all, you can't miss with this menu with something for everyone. We'll done Brian and Josie!

There are not too many breakfast places around outside of downtown Bar Harbor. We found this place on our way back home. The place was clean, staff very friendly, quick service. They have the regular breakfast foods and the food was excellent. The sitting area overlooks a nice field and is bright and cheery. It is attached to a store too which is very convenient. I highly recommend this place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I am definitely coming back.

The only challenge in writing a five star review for Josie's is keeping it brief. The cafe is excellent, from the eclectic menu to the friendly service. The store provides a similarly useful and interesting mix of items, as any good roadside shop should. Stop in for lunch, pick up a thing or two in the store, cap it off with a coffee to go, and pay for it all together at the counter. Josie's has earned its place as my go-to on the way to Ellsworth.

Had a fabulous lunch here today! Service was slow but I don't mind waiting when I get rewarded with great food and the drinks are good and strong! Very clean establishment with a great menu selection and a nice variety of goods in the country store. Staff was friendly as well as the owner. Treated myself to the best Boba Tea (pistachio) that I have ever had, for the road. Will definitely make this a "must stop" every year when I visit Maine.

Great spot for a variety of snacks, drinks, meals and different random goodies. Very friendly staff that supplied us with everything needed while on vacation. Funky finds and plenty of booze of all kinds.
