Just waited over 20 minutes in line, I ordered a 16 oz latte with A double shot And it basically tastes like I got a regular coffee with cream in it. No foam, no double shot sort of taste. And having to pay $6 for that when I was expecting something a lot better for the time I waited is just really disappointing to be honest. Basically I could have gone to the shell station up the road gotten a coffee there that they offer and it would have been exactly the same thing. See the picture I attached and you'll know that I'm telling the truth. The only positive thing about the experience was the blonde girl at the window was very nice and polite And apologetic about the weight. If you're gonna sell specialty coffees they should at least meet the standards of what they actually are.
Brooke is so amazing! My husband and I did not know what to get (being our 1st time there) and she was able to come up with something that tasted great! We are hooked now:) She is very sweet, kind, has great suggestions, and always greets with a smile with such positive attitude.
Ordered 2 iced coffees and a regular coffee and wanted to throw the sugar packets out at the trash dumpster at the back and a lady calls out rudely that this not a public trash and 'we don't take that kind of trash's even when I told her it was their own coffee cups and sugar packets. The barista was nice though.
*Update* Two weeks after our first visit, we already were back at Aroma Joe's. This time, zero other cars in line and the barista was quick to make our drinks. Bumping up our stars from 4 to 5! Again, the coffee was superb, consistent like the last drinks we ordered, and the barista was great. This is definitely our new favorite coffee place.
*Original* We just moved to Maine and visited Aroma Joe's for the first time this past weekend. We're from the West Coast and I have to admit, we're a bit picky about our coffee.
To be on the safe side, we didn't order anything too crazy. We stuck to the basics - my husband and I both ordered 16 oz mochas and I got an extra double shot of espresso.
Can we just say - 5* coffee! The mochas were PERFECT! The barista told us they use chocolate milk instead of chocolate powder or syrup, which explains why the texture was so smooth. Why don't more companies get that? Nobody wants an inch of sugary goop left at the bottom of a $5 coffee. Our fav coffee place in Oregon uses choc milk too. Yay, Aroma Joe's!
Customer service was also fabulous. The dark-haired gal who served us was friendly, helpful, and earnest in making sure we were happy with our drinks. We'd go back just to order from her.
The only downside was the wait time. We weren't even in a hurry since it was a Sunday afternoon, and we were still surprised how long it took when we only had three cars in front of us. From the other reviews, it's clear the owners are already aware of the issue and are working on improvement. It's really the only thing that kept us from giving a 5* review.
Ultimately we're still willing to wait longer for fabulous coffee and good customer service. We'll absolutely be going back!
Waited 40 min and the line didnāt move once. The other side was being helped every so often but the two employees were just standing and talking the entire time. Left without getting helped and got glared at by the employees. Unfortunate because I love AJās :(
I would honestly never get coffee anywhere else itās amazing, and the food and employees are incredible but you guys NEED to improve the wait time, I have had to leave on multiple occasions after being in line 20+ minutes without making it up to order. And several times driven by and seen the line and decided to go elsewhere knowing how long of a wait it would be. Myself and others would definitely give you a lot more business if this was improved. I have personally given up on dunkin and Iām sure more locals like myself feel the same way and are looking for a better drive through coffee shop experience. You guys fit the bill, just help us get in and out quicker. Thank you for the great coffee.
Great coffee but the wait is long. Today the blond chubby white girl at the drive through window quickly grabs the tip jar and brings it inside. Afterwards I told her āI promise Iām not gonna still your tip money.ā Looks at me dumbfounded. Jeez!

Hours say open at 5:15 on Monday morning. We showed up at 5:20 and waited 10 minutes. Nobody was there. Sad!

Good coffee - not strong enough for my taste (but I like it very strongš ) but convenient with double drive thru and amazingly friendly staff

Very friendly workers, make sure you stop and see the full menu before you get to the window!, sometimes a long wait time but it's worth it.
