Great environment but some baristas can be prejudice.

It was one of my favorite coffee shops in town until my most recent experience. Java Break is a calm, studious environment that has great drinks and food. The environment is especially great for students, like myself, writing their dissertation.

I was recently there at 12pm on a Sunday afternoon. It was only three other patrons there. They choose to enforce a rule to combat overcrowding. Since I didn't purchase in a timely manner (15 min), I was told I needed to leave or buy something and "if you wanted a place to work, you should go to the library where it's free" in a very aggressive, rude tone. It made me feel very uncomfortable and suggested I wasn't welcome there.

In the multiple occasions of being at Java Break, I've seen it very busy. On some occasions, almost no seats to work. My cup of mint Chai tea would be purchased. I observed where groups of individuals walk-in and only one person purchases an item. Also, other occasions where customers come in and work without having purchase anything. I have never seen the rule enforced.

Being an atypical customer of their clientele demographic, I believe my appearance, race, and/or skin color was the driving factor to enforce an overcrowding rule when there wasn't any overcrowding.

It wasn't right. I was uncomfortable. I will not never go again.

It's really cozy to go study or have a date at. There's rooms where you can write on the walls, one that's full of weird pictures, game room with puzzles/board games, and a cereal bar. Very funky and creative but a tad too expensive. Really nice staff!

Such a cool spot. Good for studying or meeting up with friends. They have board games and multiple rooms. You have to buy something for the wifi code. Super delicious too. I love the iced tea. Theres a fun cereal bar too with homemade almond milk as well. Fun!

Adorable, quirky lil coffee shop. Coffee is alright, mixed drinks are very good, baked goods are delicious. The shop itself is very unique and cozy. Staff can sometimes be rude or otherwise unpleasant.

Very eclectic, fun joint to get coffee. Our barista was very friendly and helpful. They have vanilla or chocolate fresh made whip cream. We had the vanilla and it was fabulous! All this, and they are open 24hrs most of the week!

My favorite coffee shop in town. Always open, always tasty. They have an extensive cereal bar, and good shakes/smoothies. The coffee is unique and expertly crafted. The atmosphere is 1 in a million.

Located just down the street for the Starbucks you should be ignoring because this place is categorically better in every way. The location is interesting with an eccentric 90s art atmosphere which doesn't feel too in your face, the food is good and fresh, the cereal bar is fun if a bit pricey for what it is, and the drinks are liquid happiness. With hot, cold, and blended coffee drinks, smoothies, tea and even chocolate whip cream you can always get what amounts to a straight upgrade of your favorite coffee shop drink here.

Java Break is one of the most unique coffee shops I've ever been to. Don't be thrown off by its very different feel, as you will come to love it over time. The cereal bar is amazing and something you should see for yourself. Everyone that works there has been nothing but kind and helped me with any questions. Did I mention it's open 24/7? Nowhere better for a late night caffeinated drink and some cereal.

Great atmosphere and the coffees are wonderful. The staff is very friendly with very good service and a smile as soon as you walk in the door. Prices are comparable to other coffee shops and the selection is very good. The food is very good as well, but not as much of a selection as the beverages. The chai is awesome.

Dude. I took my senior pictures here and haven’t been back in for.ever. Went back and the woman working was super friendly, helpful, and interested in my unnecessary story about the last time I was there. Check this place out. There’s a CEREAL BAR. And they have homemade almond milk for the lactose-intolerant.
