The best coffee place I've ever been to. I haven't once had a bad experience. Been more than handful of times. Other guy had dreads and this recent visit a lovely gal who had 50's vibe. The coffee is to die for and the topping is house made, that chocolate kind it the best! The atmosphere is phenomenal. Simple but if those walls could talk!!! Wait some walls do have writings.

This place has personality for days! It's such a fun, welcoming atmosphere and has the best outdoor seating for warmer days. I always appreciate the work the staff puts into the posters for their seasonal specials too. Bring a book or a friend and check this place out!

Java break is a great place to grab a coffee and chat with a friend! Their coffee is great and if you are wanting something sweet, try a smoothie with cap'n crunch in it! It is dark inside, so it is not ideal for studying and it can sometimes be hard to find a place to sit on busy days. However, I always enjoy their drinks and the staff is super friendly!

Best coffees ever! And gluten free peanut butter cookies are to die for! Retro atmosphere makes it a special place to sit and talk or study! I traveled out east and went through 5 states and never found anything comparable! Beats Starbucks out!! Personable and friendly service!

What a cool place- a former bank! Coffee on tap and home made whip cream - the best! Lots of flavors. Owner was very nice and helpful. We will definitely be back on our way through Kansas!

We love it when Neal is working because he is amazing. Always consistent beverages and always very friendly and fast service.

We have been there twice. First time, tall barista guy with dark hair, EXCELLENT! Coffee was great, service was great. Four star experience!
Last weekend went there on a Saturday night. Coffe tasted horrible, barista (average height guy) SLOW, complained, acted as if he was troubled by us to be there, RUDE, left him a cash tip while he was making drinks and was upset we didn't leave a tip on our card. Won't be in business long treating customers like this. 1/2 star experience at best thais time.

Such a fun atmosphere and delicious drinks! A great place to study or grab coffee with friends! Minus one star because it's not very family friendly. Lots of profanity on the walls.

My favorite coffeehouse. I drive 30 minutes to buy my espresso here. I love the late hours. Their pastries are homemade. They make their own almond milk, cold press and chai. Their staff is also always so wonderful. I wish I knew all their names because they each deserve a shout out for being awesome and always brightening my day. ♡

Definitely a unique place. You feel sort of like a rodent scurrying around the various rooms with their attic/basement furnishings. The coffee is good, and being open 24 hours is something no one else can say. Their Chai is made in house, and is exceptional. If you are new to Lawrence you have to visit at least once.
