Newton's Paradise Cafe

Very cute decor... cozy place... a 50-60s flair. Hot pork soup was visually delightful! Soup was flavorful without being overly spiced. Melded nicely. Burgers were attractive & flavorful as well. Staff was attentive, but not clingy. Most items on menu were $9 @ which made it easy to figure in advance. The bottomless bloody Mary's rocked!

Ordered take out for my family of 8. The server/receptionist on the phone was extremely helpful, patient and sweet! My meals were rdy in about 20 minutes. Reasonably priced for my family it came to $50 for 7 meals. Dining room was clean. Definitely will be coming back!

They make the BEST Bloody Mary in town. Fantastic French Toast too.

Really good food! What a great little cafe. The tenderloin we had was huge and tasted great! We took home leftovers and another 2 meals from it. The parmesan fries are amazing. The Monte Cristo sandwich is also very good. We really liked the basil coleslaw too. Definitely recommend!

Stopped by for dinner. Service was great. Food was really good. I had the grilled tenderloin and my wife had the soup and salad. We were both happy with our meals.
For appetizer we had the fried cheese curds. Yummy

The food is excellent and u get amazing food. The waitresses are very polite and curious.. I recommend Newtons to anyone looking to sit down and enjoy a great meal.

One of the weirdest places I have ever been. The service was HORRIBLE, everyone was so weird. Let’s not even talk about the food. I ordered a Capresesandwich and it was just a piece of brad with a tomato in it. I called my server again to tell her that this is not what I ordered, and she insisted that it was. Then I looked at the menu and the sandwich was missing the basil, pesto, and the cheese!!! I was trying to be polite and just asked they took my plate cause I didn’t want it anymore and just asked for the sandwich to be taken off the bill. However, they called the manager to come talk to me. The manager was one of the most unprofessional managers I’ve ever seen. She just approached my table and just stood there without saying anything lol. This place was just weird and the food was horrible. I never ever leave reviews for a restaurant but this was a horrible experience.

Loved the breaded pork tenderloin! Cheryl was our server and she was awesome!

June 26th 2022 it was on a Sunday. I am a Deaf Drag Queen traveling to Waterloo from Des Moines Iowa. Now, since I travel thur a bus, I have a big rolling travel suitcase and 3 carryons with me. I carry everywhere I go since I have no place to stay at that time. Now, as a deaf person I am a super visual person, as I came in to this newton cafe, won't let me use the booth with all that stuff I have with me and I have my laptop with me and I was in a emergency running back home and I was mugged from a usual hate crime.and of course no money, bus station was closed on a Sunday? you're kidding right? I asked for help since my phone died, cafe won't let me use a certain spot to charge my laptop since it was dying as well. service was kinda not that great. I sat at the bar and put my stuff behind me at a closed section which clearly out of sight. I was so perched, and I can tell they were immiaited by me cause of my deafness, like im invisible. they don't know what to do to "speak with the deaf person" I kept asking for paper and pen in clear visible sign that not only a deaf person but a hearing people should know what I am requesting for...
(a pen and a paper) they just stood there staring at me for 3 mins straight like a valley girl. "valley girl speaking voice" yeah so um.. like..what? I don't speak deaf. I didn't know you were deaf. you don't look deaf tho"

ME: and you don't look ignorant either but we can't judge by it book right?
"start to use my speaking voice in a very thick deaf accent"- now, get me a waaaahhter, and get me a charger station, so I can use my phone to text the police.
