Food was ok. If your looking for a place that is safe and clean this place wasn’t the best. Don’t think they take covid seriously.

Went to Newtons Cafe with my Mom and had the Rueben sandwiches and Parmigiano Garlic fries.
Absolutely delicious 😋

My children and I walked In, were not greeted, no one said anything to us. Two people walked in after us and the ladies working tried to seat them and the customers had to be the ones to tell them to seat us first. Our waitress talked to us three times. To take our order, give us drinks and hand us the check. I had to get up to get extra napkins for my kids. I didn’t eat but my kids food tasted terrible. I’m surprised they ate any of it. Im not from Waterloo and was excited for a new place to eat. Just disappointed.

Very disappointed. Service was horrible, country fried steak was cooked to a hockey puck. Gravy had no flavor, my husbands ruben was a soggy mess. Hot coco should be changed to cinnamon chocolate milk. Way way way overpriced. So bad i wanted to warn people to run the other way when they were being seated!

Stopped in randomly, the wait staff are so chill and nice, gave me advice for my bus travel situation, and the vibe is really nice. The food was awesome, prices ideal, 10/10 will come again! I forgot my waitress’s name but she had glasses, she’s super awesome, so thanks girl!

A lot of our meal was over cooked. The homemade sausage was not good.

I must say I really enjoyed having lunch there a few weeks back. We ate outside which was a nice change of pace. The food was unbelievably good. Or maybe it just hit me right that day. I had the BLT & it was outstanding. The food seemed fresher there than anything I've seen in a while. Our wait person was excellent. She was attentive but wasn't trying too hard to work the tip. I have it on good authority that all their food is fresh & delicious. Seriously though I can't find anything to complain about.

Ridiculously large size portions. While some people may think that's not a negative, to me it's a waste. I had the tenderloin. It's ginormous but served on a regular sized bun. I was able to cut the tenderloin in 8 pieces, one of which fit perfectly on the bun. I'd rather have a normal size portion and not have a ton of leftovers that I usually end up giving to strays in the neighborhood because restaurant leftovers are not as good warmed up. Service was good and atmosphere was nice. Food was more than ample but average tasting.

terriable. she claimed the shrimp was freashly coated butter fly. it was the frozen kind from a box store. the soup had a flim of oil on it and chunks of beef fat in it. one persons meal came out 15 minutes after everyone else. the country fried steak was so rough you couldn’t chew it. ordered a drink and the server some how forgot to tell us it was bottomless and that was the only option on sunday’s. So we ended up paying bottomless prices for each of us having one drink. in conclusion the food is from the local walmart and so are the service.

First time we had gotten the chance to eat here, always heard good things about it. We had went a few other times, but they were closed. But talk about amazing food! I had to get the tenderloin ever since I seen the pictures of it on here. And it was awesome, definitely huge, totally worth it. Our waiter was super helpful, and very nice. We will most definitely going back to try some other things that's for sure.
