We enjoy going to Newton’s Paradise Cafe every time we go to Waterloo. The hot coffee is always flowing and is a nice medium roast. Their hash browns are nice and crispy. You will have quick friendly service. Download the passport parking app for the street parking before you get there, just to make your life easier. In the bathroom, you will be pleased to find a wide doorway big enough for a wheel chair and a changing table for the little ones. Afterward you can stop at the cute gift shop across the street.

Newton's Paradise Cafe could be better. It was the first time we tried it. The Pork Tenderloin was huge, it had no fat, however, it had Blanko Bread Crumbs and didn't have no seasoning, it tasted bland. For $14.00 for a tenderloin it needs to have flavor. The French Fries were kinda hard. The pancakes were huge and tasty but $12.00 for pancakes? This will be a one time try for Newton's Paradise Cafe for us.

Bloody Mary was so good. The food was good. Our waitress was very nice. It was my first time there and I'll be back!

Lovely place to get breakfast! The food was delicious; I do admit the service was a little slow, but overall, a great experience with the atmosphere of the restaurant being themed.

Stopped in for birthday breakfast. It was busy, but service was great. Awesome Bloody Mary's and a shared breakfast worked well for us!

Giving hella cheap dinner/dive energy. The ambiance is super authentic with cute booths & bar seating. The food & drinks were pretty basic. Some of the dishes/utensils were a tad dirty & I had to return my drink b/c something was in it. Lastly, the service was really mediocre & needs improvement. Staff should probably refrain from looking for a new job while at work. Although they were very polite, but having to ask for refills on something that is “unlimited” and not offering water is just unfortunate.

The wife said the pancakes were the best she's had. The kids said the pancakes were soft as well and yummy. I had the country fried steak with pepper gravy, something I wouldn't normally eat but figure try something new. Wasn't for me. Server did a great job Kelsey, we sat outside the fans for the kitchen were loud. We got our food after our drinks came 24 minutes, good time I would say, when wee were walking in a guy said good luck, very slow. It was fine for me. People came in right before us and they got there food quick to. Good place.

Stopped in at this cozy diner while visiting our grandkids in Iowa. Comfortable cozy diner atmosphere and watching the snow fall outside just added to the Christmas atmosphere. We ordered the classic breakfast, breakfast bowl, biscuits and gravy and country fried steak amongst all of us. Everything was very good and the portions were huge. The sausage gravy packed more flavor than the pepper gravy so if you like sausage I would opt for that option. We would visit again.

I really wanted to like this place. We sat on the patio and overall the decor and feel of Newtons was so promising. First, we weren’t told the bloody Mary’s and mimosas were only available in bottomless. They tasted good and had fun toppings but it was $13 a person and not worth it. We only planned to each have one to avoid getting too tipsy before a busy day. We ordered our food, the tenderloin, the club, the grilled cheese, and the monte cristo, and everything was just so disappointing. The grilled cheese wasn’t fully melted, and we added bacon and only one piece of bacon covered half the sandwich. For the side we got Parmesan fries. They weren’t crispy and the Parmesan itself seemed like it was thrown on last minute so it couldn’t melt or stick onto the fries. The monte cristo tasted alright, but needed more mayo or mustard because it was really dry. The hash browns weren’t seasoned and the top layer was crispy but the rest was all just ehh. The tenderloin was huge and thin and breaded alright but lacked seasoning and relied on the LTO and ketchup. Overall probably won’t return but I hope it gets better with time and feedback.

Short staffed, but the cooks stepped up and helped. Love seeing that. Unfortunately $6.99 for one piece of French toast on the kids meal is absolutely absurd, no sides or juice included. Guess we'll go somewhere else so the kids can get full.
