Excellent food, and the best service. Very busy when we first arrived around 1:30 pm, but seated quickly and waited upon for drinks within minutes. Family friendly and not your same old menu. A bit of a twist on great diner food. Always worth our drive

Loved everything about Bluebird except my breakfast entree was a big disappointment. My crabmeat eggs Benedict had almost no crab. One English muffin half had no crab. The other half had a dab of breaded mixture the size of a 50 cent piece. Such a disappointment on my birthday.

Best breakfast food around. Many other great options as well. Been going here for years and it's still one of my favorite. Prices are fair and the food quality is consistent! Good servers/host as well.

First time there and had a great impression. Good service with friendly staff. I was excited to see they had gluten-free pancakes, and even more excited to discover they tasted just like regular buttermilk pancakes - no different texture or consistency - yay! I'd definitely recommend this place!

I’ve been coming here since I moved to Iowa 3 years ago! This place WAS the best! Since Covid the food has been coming out cold, the portions are smaller than ever, bread is toasted and sitting long before you order. I wish I took a photo but my plate had enough hash browns to barely feed a squirrel and I’m 200lbs. I always order extra bacon and extra egg. I have been shorted bacon strips last few times and I just don’t feel like asking for them every time. Very disappointed because I used to rave about this place and now I need to find another!

Went here this morning and ended up being completely disgusted. I was sat at the counter and watched several of the women working here touching their hair then people’s food with their bare hands. Then saw another one handling money then bare hands on food. This was absolutely disgusting and hopefully their complete disregard for germs on food doesn’t make someone sick.

This place is always great. Everything I've ever had on the menu is always good. And the service is always good. Also, it's very affordable. I don't get here as often as I would like because I'm usually driving farther south to cities far beyond.

Went on Friday morning- food and coffee good - I had omelette. Concerning thing is this - I was with 3 friends and we all paid with our individual credit cards - I ended up with two charges on my cc - my own and another - not associated with any of my 3 friends - so whose breakfast was charged to my cc? I called this morning and without hesitation was told they would send me a check for the Misbilling on my card - manager didn’t even come to phone just said tell her we will send a check or provide gift card for however much it was - I mean it was simple to get it resolved but either it happens a lot and manager deals with it all the time or just didn’t care about getting the details - I won’t be paying with my card again if I go there - cash only - UPDATE I do appreciate the quick response of the manager to the situation and will return to enjoy the delicious food selection!
