It’s needing some updates to the wine lists and menu. I’d pay more for better wines and food.

Reservation at 6:30. Still waited 2 hours for a table. 8:30 still no table. Thanks for lying to me multiple times about how long it would take. Ordered drinks at the bar while waiting - $27 for 2 drinks (not including tip) worthless

Update; we were told it would be another 30 minutes. Ended up just pulling tables together sitting outside.

The homemade cavatelli was a disappointment. I like aldente but this was boardering on raw. While flavorful the sauce was too oily. Before ordering coffee I asked if it was fresh. She said she'd check. It wasn't fresh and it wasn't hot, either. At almost $30 for lunch for one person Centro didn't live up to its reputation.

My favorite spot in Des Moines! Best food and service in town.

Me and my fiance have been here twice now and have to say the service has been amazing both times. Tonight our server was Erik B and he was on TOP of everything , made sure our bread was not empty and was efficient without bugging us. We will return. The Food was amazing as well as the service, and the drinks were delicious.

I make it to Des Moines once or twice per year and Centro is ALWAYS on our dinner list. It is reliably excellent from entry to exit with service and food that we have found to be unparalleled in quality and reliability in Des Moines. We found service in many restaurants in Des Moines to be slow either between the kitchen unable to keep up or too few table staff - not so Centro. And the professionalism of that service is a notch above the others. I had one of the Chef's specials and each in our party of three had something different - all excellent. Their desserts are wonderful as well so save room. Of course we will be back.

The food was amazing!!!! The service was great to I hope more people come here to eat because their food was phenomenal!

Walked in, waited maybe 35 minutes. Started at the bar for some drinks. Atmosphere was that of a fine dining experience. The staff were excellent and polite. The drinks were made as ordered and quick. The food was absolutely delicious. Waiter was knowledgeable about the entrées and gave recommendations. Amazing spot for dinner with the family or a date with the better half. The steak we ordered was a perfect medium rare, and was honestly one of the best cuts of meat I've had in some time. Will be back next time we are in town.

Very very good for Iowa ..:) the chicken and pasta had solid flavor and burger was great..
