The Cafe

I came here on a very busy Sunday morning for brunch. The staff was working like a well oiled machine. Friendly and efficient service. The Cafe attracts a wide variety of people, and for a good reason. The atmosphere was comfortable despite the large crowds. Great music choice while I was there. I was humming along to Sinatra and Etta James. Fantastic food and surprisingly good tea. I ordered the lemon poppyseed pancakes and a hot matcha green tea.

TL;DR: Good food that’s worth the price (imo), great atmosphere, and fantastic staff.

The Cafe is one of the best places in Ames to get dinner. Their menu is always changing but reliably tasty and high quality. The deserts are my personal favorite. I had a great time there.

Nice atmosphere, pleasant and efficient staff, my lunch was very good. Menu items frequently change. A bit pricey. It is located in a busy business district and so parking can be a problem during peak hours.

I just love their brunch menu. One of my favorite restaurants in town.

Excellent Ambiance with superb food! If you want to have a fine dining experience in Ames, then you should visit this place. The menu is short but everything on it is at its best. Their steak is just out of this world. Juicy and well cooked it is!. The burgers are also great, no like the typical burgers you find at other fast food restaurants. Their pastries, cakes and cupcakes are also a must have.

This place was awesome! They got the best quality water in Ames!!! Plus they got a great cook back there named Kade. Request him to make your food. Also Kelsey knows how to mix some great drinks!

The wait is almost always long, but the food is absolutely worth it. With a small, frequently changing menu, you will always be trying something new and it will be a home run every time.

Had the Turkey, cherry sandwich. WOW!!
We were in a hurry due to travel time. Service made note, informed the kitchen and food was delivered quickly.
