The Cafe

3 times I've been at this place. First 2 times all I have to say is probably good thing for them I didn't give my opinion. Wouldn't have been my choice of a place to go but Today's visit was for a birthday celebration. Almost didn't go but went for someone else and SO glad I did. Had the fish taco, first time ever and it was great along with the service and everything else was right up there in the great department. I definitely would go back now. The only thing that would keep me from going more often is well for just 3 of the fish tacos not counting anything else ordered was $32.00. But it was good

Hands down my favorite sit down to eat at. Get the Kale and Quinoa Salad w/ steak. You'll thank me!

The best place to eat in Ames!
The wait staff is well trained and attentive. The atmosphere is very nice. The food though is the real selling point. With a rotating menu the food is different Evey time my wife and I go out for a date. We have been going every few months for 5 years now and have never had a underwhelming meal. The food has always been superb.

Would eat there more often if we could!

Breakfast with friends, would have been 5 stars if coffee refilled. Otherwise, wonderful in every way.

My first time at The Cafe and I was super impressed. It had an awesome chill intimate vibe and the food was absolutely delicious. The me ubis simple, but elegant and everything my table ordered looked amazing. Definitely will be going back!

We had to wait for almost an hour and I still rated this place 5 stars! The service is phenomenal with the staff very attentive and energetic. The atmosphere is relaxing and lends itself to conversation. They did not have our lemon pancakes, so we tried their pumpkin pancakes and so glad we did! They were delicious! When I get brunch I always order a side of their Cafe Potatoes (super crispy and flavorful).

Every time we eat here they've spent the extra care to bring something unique to the flavor profile. For example, apparently I'm a huge fan of the pickled onions they put on the burgers, who knew?!

If you haven't been, I highly recommend!

Sister restaurant to Provisons, so it has all the same great qualities! The Cafe always seems more crowded and hectic than Provisions though.
