Chicory Cafe Mishawaka

Honestly, I love this place and have no complaints. The food is amazing, and their drinks are great. I don’t think I’ve ever dealt with a rude employee. I’ve had order mistakes a few times, but the employees were typically quick to fix that. I love the atmosphere of both the Mishawaka and the South Bend location.

Sitting for 30 mins for a coffee and sandwich to go is a tad ridiculous, especially since they weren't busy.

Since I work in downtown South Bend, I have been enjoying the Chickory in SB for YEARS! I live in mishawaka and have been to the Mishawaka location a hand full of times. I can say without a doubt, I have no intention of spending my money there! I was greeted by a couple of young women who when I approached, it was clear it was an imposition. My questions as well seem to be off putting. After waiting what I felt was a quite some time for a very simple, hot sandwich and 3-4 employees standing around chit chatting, I was met again in a condescending way. Completely unnecessary. My cold sandwich arrived, bread broken, it was clear it was slapped together in a hurry. I've had this sandwich so many times. This was a waste of my time and money as well as the owner who works incredibly hard for this place and SB. In conversation with some friends, they agreed on the staff, they are rude and indifferent. Who wants to be greeted like that? I have photos of this incredibly sad sandwich. Thumbs down Chickory, mishawaka!!

Absolutely love this place! I love their menu and their prices. They also have a decent sized venue that you can rent out for weddings and baby showers or whatever you can think of for a very reasonable price and they decorate and cater I believe the time that I did see it decorated it was so elegant! Definitely recommend!

Never had an issue before today. Waited 1 hour for a grilled cheese and a Cobb salad. Ended up having to leave and they did refund our money and as we were leaving gave us our food to go. Cheese was not melted on the grilled cheese and they put olives on the salad even though I requested no olives. Very apologetic, but seriously lousy service today. I will chalk this up to an isolated incident and try again in a few months.

They had really good options and great coffee. I had the biscuits and gravy which were phenomenal. You can still tell that the place is new and just starting out. I personally tend to enjoy a place where the finish is a bit more polished. Other than that, I had an enjoyable time. It's a great spot to make a part of your morning routine if you enjoy a quality cup of goodness as you're starting your day.

The ambiance is wonderful! Staff are kind, friendly and professional. The coffee and beingets were absolutely amazing❤️ A must visit in Mishawaka!

I've been here a handful times, cute place, great food, tasty coffee, and a nice event venue. Get a cookie you won't be disappointed! Great place to have some coffee and catch up with friends. The staff is very nice as well!

The regular menu is great, but keep an eye out for their specials. Lots of things are not really spicy, but most people come for the Cajun spices. Comfort food.
