Chicory Cafe Mishawaka

Great atmosphere but my latte there has tasted consistently weak on most occasions. I also asked for decaf last night and they gave me a cafeinated drink, which kept me up all night. Big miss on their end.

I wanted to like this place, but ended up dissatisfied. I’ll say it has a really good atmosphere, but I had a Rueben sandwich and was very unimpressed. Super dry and probably about 80% bread. Just a couple thin slices of meat and next to nothing for sauerkraut and I’m not even sure they had any dressing. It was pretty expensive for getting such a sad sandwich.

For the most part the food was good! The staff were friendly enough and the atmosphere was nice! Only thing is my sandwich was a little underwhelming and the chips were really hard. I'll make sure to come back and try something else next time! (And make sure not to order chips)

Had my wedding here. They provide and set up everything you could possibly ask for. The decorations were gorgeous and the food was AMAZING! I absolutely loved everything and the whole experience was very easy going for me. I spent so much time worrying on how I was gonna do everything until I spoke with them and they made my whole experience perfect.. Being able to do payments we pretty great as well. And they were much more affordable than what I was expecting. Highly recommend for any type of event.

My boyfriend and I are both pescatarian. He ordered shrimp and grits which said nothing about having meat (besides shrimp) in it, upon biting into it my boyfriend noticed bacon bits and ham pieces. I took it back and told them, and the cook came out and told me there’s no meat in the recipe so I brought it back to our table and my boyfriend kept eating. Only to see that it in fact was meat that we were eating. Brought it up to the counter AGAIN where it was finally confirmed that we were served meat. So it’ll be fun getting sick later as we haven’t eaten pork in 6 years. Wouldn’t recommend. Definitely not the place to accommodate to dietary needs. They don’t care about getting people sick.

We’ve been to the cafe as well as attended multiple events in the event center room. The food is always great and the coffee is really good too. The only thing I can fault in the event center is the poor quality sound system. If there is any talking happening in the room, the speakers are useless. I hope they fix these soon because every event I have attended here has had major issues with them so I know it’s not an isolated thing. But all in all, it’s a great place to hold any sort of large event or grab a simple coffee.

They always have delicious food, coffee, and drinks!! Our running group comes here weekly in the summer to sit on the patio! Great atmosphere and fast service!
