Coal Yard Coffee

I always love to come to this hidden treasure of a spot when I am in Indianapolis. Eclectic, alternative place that has some spectacular, high quality coffee. Staff is always friendly and laid back, and the shop hosts a variety of art, on mediums ranging from painted canvas to scrap metal sculptures, from many local artists.

I enjoyed the laid back atmosphere, i got an espresso drink named after Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas and it was RIGHT ONNN. They've got a plethora of great art a great stage and great music of course the former because some of thst art is my brothers and of course the latter because that music was performed by my nephew who even amidst sniffling and coughing can bust a mean note. So yeah a good time was had by all.

I love this place, but I'm sick of being served by teenagers who dgaf, so I haven't been back in a few months. I hope they have decent help when I return. Love the atmosphere, the art, the things for sale, the style in general.... Just please hire someone who cares.

My new favorite - Love this funky fusion of art, hang out space, community feel coffee house. They make my tea lattes just the way I like them dairy free. My hubby loves their mochas.

Love! What an amazing little gem well hidden in the Indianapolis area. This little shop is down an industrial road not surrounded by any other retail. If you blink, you may miss it. We weren't sure if we had the address right when we first pulled up.
The coffee is delicious and the drink menu is vast. I had a great iced coffee and an even better latte in the days I was able to visit. Cute local artwork adorned the walls and shelves, it was hard not to buy it all. The next time I am back in Indy, I will be back.

Coffee is delicious. Freshly roasted, you can really taste the richness. We like their current pour-over option of Coal Yard Blend. I also enjoy the Two-Face with English Toffee flavor. I am enjoying a more consistant visit now that the baristas are more experienced. It is nice to be able to see so many unique and awesome art works all around as well.

Parking was odd, especially on a rainy day but worth the Brew.

The service was awesome. Wasn't sure what to get and was helped with my decision. She made exactly what I was wanting even though it wasn't on the menu. Great coffee and great service. From the outside it doesn't look like much but the inside is very artsy. Love it.

I love this place's vibe! So much fun! The coffee is delicious (it's worth driving out of your way for a cup!) There's local artists' work around the place to look at and purchase. LOVE IT!

Love this place. Employees are friendly, cool artwork, nice neighborhood hangout. I once told them about a drink that was not on their menu, a chili pepper mocha. We talked a bit and they made one for me. Delicious.
