Great food, drinks, & merch. Nice staff. I got my sweet cat from here & it was an easy and enjoyable process. I bring all of my friends & family by as something fun to do in the afternoon. Support your small local businesses!

All the cats are adoptable, with varying ages from kittens to older cats. The kittens were very energetic. My favorite was a little black one with a white-tipped tail who was extremely playful and loved to hunt the toy I used. For the older cats, they mostly slept, but you could sit next to them and let them, and they would purr and purr like little motors.

I have been to River Kitty many times, and I have never been disappointed! The macarons are delicious, and the cat room is adorable! I absolutely love coming to see the cats. Would definitely recommend!

They are doing great things here. We often go just for the Cafe. Service is excellent. Very clean. Please donate, please tip. Enjoy downtown Evansville while you are there!

I had taken my niece and nephew (teenagers) to eat at Zuki downtown and we saw the cat cafe on the way in so when we left dinner at Zuki I told them we could go in for a minute and check it out and possibly get some dessert. My mother and 3 year old daughter were with me as well. We went to the counter and the gentleman behind the counter was giving us the rundown. My daughter was at another counter in close proximity that looked to have merchandise. She was simply looking while we asked some questions about the place. The other lady working there (which I later found out was a co-owner) grabbed her firmly by her jacket hood, pulled her toward the counter that we were standing by, and sternly told her “Go to your mommy!, Go to your mommy!”. I absolutely do not recommend this place if you have any children with you. We were not even in the closed off area with the cats. I was simply wanting to check the cafe out because my niece and nephew thought it looked interesting and grab a sweet for us all. She obviously has poor customer service skills and maybe should just be a silent partner. Needless to say I held it together (although my blood was boiling) while we were inside. But after my family walked out of the establishment I gave her a piece of my mind. Adults only for sure!! I do not recommend taking children in period. Even if they are not going in cat area.

Prices were outrageous. There were 4 of us and the bill was over $100 for a couple of sandwiches, some crackers and a spoonful of hummus. We had to pay to visit with the cats and that was an additional $7 a person. It was absolutely ridiculous. If you want to adopt a cat or visit cats in need, visit the shelters. When I called back up there to find out what time they opened, a lady was extremely rude and hung up on me. I will never go back.

Drinks and food are good, but lack variety and customization. The cats are obviously the main attraction. All animals are fosters and are well cared for, promoting adoption (which is a supportable cause).

It was my sister’s 21st birthday and she purchased a bottle of cat wine as her first alcoholic purchase, and the whole staff wished her a happy birthday! It was very sweet

Recommend for all ages. Cute date experience or something different to do with friends. You'll appreciate the experience, there is a lot of love that has been put into this cafe.

I adopted my kitty from here 3 days ago!! They are very friendly staff and helpful with all your questions!! Adopting my fur baby from here was the best decision ever!! 😺
