Weekdays are a great time to go because of the small space. Service was great and so was the coffee.

Had a wonderful experience this week when we traveled into Evansville for an event. I have 6 and 8 year olds so I was a bit hesitant given some of the other reviewers comments, but goes to show… don’t ever not go to somewhere just cause of a few reviews. My kids are by no means laid back, but we had no problems with the staff at all. I told my boys ahead of time to be calm and the girl even said well there are some young ones in there that may enjoy some play.. and they did!! My kids played with the more rowdy kittens and calmly petted the ones that wished to relax. My older son took a special shine to Asher. I know he would’ve loved to take Asher home, but we have a dog thats not good with cats, but I do feel good that we supported the cause by going into the room and by buying 12 macaroons which were by the way the best i’ve had. Don’t let the negative reviews put you off. I wish we had one of these in my home town, but if we ever return to Evansville we will certainly visit this place again.

Literally amazing. Good wine and beer selection. Cute desserts and even cuter cats. As the site says all of them are up for adoption if you qualify to adopt one you can go home with them the same day if its before 6. Great place for a a cute fate if she or he like cats obviously.

Cute cafe!! The drinks are delicious and they serve some small snack food. You do pay to pet the cats, and your payment goes towards cat maintenance (such as buying food!).

Coffee, macarons, and the option to play with and adopt kitties, what more can you ask for? We do wish we would have known ahead of time about the kitty room closing an hour before closing time.

Very cute and the environment has such a mellow and relaxed vibe with it. The cafe drinks were delicious. Being able to play with the cats is just such a good stress reliever for college students and adults.

Friendly staff and friendly kitties! Great way to pass an hour or so.

I have been here many times, every time has been wonderful. The mission is meaningful, cats are happy and ready to play and be adopted. Staff is attentive without being overwhelming, the coffee is wonderful, the macaroons are excellent! I have brought a non coffee drinker before and he enjoyed the chips and salsa and a soda. Perfect place to unwind downtown.

I have been here 3 times and every time is delightful. I have such a wonderful time going in and playing with the cats! The staff there is very kind and are passionate about what they do. All the cats are adoptable with a good wide range of personality. Definitely one of my favorite places!

This was my first time experiencing a cat cafe and River Kitty has set the bar high for any future ones I visit! Before walking into the door a friendly cat greeted my friend and I by the window. The atmosphere inside was cozy and clean. (And don't worry, you can't smell the cat litter at all!)

The macaroons were fantastic. Highly recommend the creme brulee flavor! Since I was new to the cafe I asked if the cashier could offer what her favorite drinks from the menu were and she did not disappoint. The cold brew coffee with caramel was perfect for the warm weather.

We paid $6 a person for 30 minutes inside the cat area which is well worth it since funds go back to the business to help with fostering, food and etc. The kittens and cats were beyond adorable, but one social kitten certainly stole our hearts. The staff member (I believe her name was Judy) spoke with us about the business which is quite interesting to know how such an establishment works to help the cats find a fur-ever home. She also talked with us about other topics which made the experience all the more enjoyable since it was similar to speaking with a friend. We also shared our cat photos. Who doesn't enjoy seeing lovable cat photos???

All in all this cafe deserves all the stars in the universe! They do great work to help kittens and cats while also offering great food/drink service. If you have the chance to visit them don't hesitate. I live hours away from this cafe, but would gladly come back in a heartbeat.
