8/5/2022: Edited my review from four years ago to say that new management has made this shop unbearable. Everything is now an upcharge, even water; the only thing that comes complementary are snarky remarks on every single question. Management is everything in a small business like this and until it changes it will remain to scare regulars away.

I love this place. When it comes to coffee, it is my absolute favorite. I am not sure what happened with the guy who had the one bad review, but I have never had a bad experience here. It is reasonably priced, and the coffee is great. They roast and flavor everything themselves. There is also a wonderful shop in the basement. A definate must check out. One of the highlights of the "downtown" heights.

Super friendly staff. Fresh baked cookies & muffins. Great cup of coffee - the Papua New Guinea dark - so good.

First time here and I was very surprised. I pre-judged as it overpriced and trendy. I admit when I was wrong, it is not at all either of these. Fresh coffee that is well worth the reasonable cost, the chicken quesadilla was also freshly made, and definitely enough to share with a friend for the same price as any chain restaurant. I will be back this weekend and plan on coming back frequently.

Decided to duck in here on a very cold day to warm up with some coffee. Employees were very friendly and helpful, with a good selection of drinks and coffee beans to buy for home use. I will be trying my next batch from here myself!

I was terribly disappointed in the service we received on Saturday morning, April 6. It was ‘Sip and Stroll’ in the Heights, and our first stop was Leaves and Beans. We walked in and there was on gentleman in front of us. I thought he was done and was waiting for his drink as he chatted with the cashier for several minutes. He then ordered....... I was a little ticked. He paid and they talked a little bit longer before the customer literally went in the back and got his own. The barista took our order, and got my husbands coffee immediately. There was now a line, so the barista then took the order and filled them...of three more people. He then disappeared into the back only to come out a few minutes later with what I assuming was my ingredients. He dropped something on the floor, and two of the baristas laughed and continued on. It was literally 20 minutes to get an Iced Mocha. Sorry, but I will continue to give my business elsewhere.

I went here for a large iced mocha with an extra shot, raspberry & almond milk. Katy made it hot, I told her I had ordered it iced she said that she should remake it. She made it hot again. I told the person up front that I had ordered it iced not hot and she made it hot again. For the second time. I asked for a refund because waiting for these 2 messed up drinks made me late for work & empty handed.

Cozy and artsy cafe charm, excellently roasted coffee and a wide array of teas! Their Chai tea latte leaves much to be desired (think powder mix with the last couple sips being entirely of chalky goop)-ask for their masala tea to made into a latte instead (with extra sweetener) and you'll have a much better experience!
