Intelligentsia Coffee Broadway Coffeebar

Chicago's coffee of choice is Intelligentsia. These guys are serious about coffee and it shows. Every cup is made to order and can take a while but it's worth it. There are all kinds of awesome coffee preparation methods available for your cup. You can order it up anyway you want or simply order "a cup of coffee". Guess what. No attitude regardless of your coffee knowledge. I prefer a darker roast but can appreciate a good cup made with care. Intelligentsia brews a "brighter" cup that tastes nothing like the typical Sbux pike.

The steamed chai was extremely diluted / watery and sweet, with no trace of actual tea. That's unfortunate, because the coffee we got was pretty decent. Will update the review if I ever get one of their other teas.

Some of Chicago's finest coffee is served here. There's a slight pretentious air, but ultimately the coffee wins the day. Also their food options are limited but absolutely delicious. Local restaurants like Floriole supply them with some breakfast staples like quiches and breakfast sandwiches.

I have been coming here regularly since it opened and the baristas here are the best. The drink quality is refined and on point. Friendly, knowledgeable staff holds it down when this place gets to capacity. Never a long wait even when the line wraps around so don't be discouraged by the sheer volume of people that flock here on the weekends.

a wonderful coffee shop and the best coffee around in chicago. this place should replace starbucks because it's so good. It's an awesome hangout place for friends. Also the staff is very kind and helpful as well as timely. A very open atmosphere for everyone.

The service was great, but i wasn't a huge fan of the coffee. I got an iced coffee with a shot of espresso and oat milk, and it didn't have a ton of flavor and the roast could've been better.

Pour over and drip coffee options rotate everyday, which is great when trying to try different roasts often. Baristas deliver fast service and professionally. Plenty of coffee equipment and merchandise for sale in the shop.

A delicious brewed coffee as expected from Intelligentsia

This is exactly what you should expect from a middle end coffee bar. Their beans are heavenly and they have some cute merch for sale there as well. I would not recommend this place if you're on a budget or if you like your coffee to be prepared sweet.
