the decor for this place is good, they recently remodeled it and i am not a big fan of it, feels like I am in a classroom. I love to go there and do my work when I do not have any meetings. it can be a bit noisy because they have music in the background. the coffee is also a bit pricey but worth the price, they always put a heart on my mochas and most of the staff knows my name cause I am a regular. the staff is super friendly as well. love sitting by the window and people watching.

Great coffee bar. Excellent quality in their prepared drinks, and high quality cold brew coffee. Ample seating (though often full, especially on weekends and peak daytime hours). Free wifi and a nice selection of whole beans and teas to take home.

What a fun place! I stopped in here on a recent Saturday, finding a pleasant atmosphere with enough life to be interesting, but not too crowded to be annoying. The coffee preparation is quite the show, as are the people who come and go in this eclectic place. It's a good spot to work, as evidenced by lots of people with laptops spread throughout several seating areas inside. It's worth a visit!

One of the best tasting coffees in Chicago

I am giving five stars for customer service. I ordered a pour-over coffee and had to wait longer than usual. I observed some lack of coordination among staff as the cause. No harm done, since the coffee was still very good and still hot. Much to my pleasant surprise, however, an hour later after sitting there, a staff person very graciously came over with a free cup of coffee and apologized for the wait. I hardly ever post reviews but this gesture deserved my time. Thank you.

I came all the way here to buy a coffee. I was waiting in the line for about 10 minutes and when I approached the cashier, the lady said that I can’t buy coffee if I don’t have a mask. I was wearing full face covering, that was actually covering more than a regular mask since it was going all over my ears and neck. I don’t see any reasons to be rejected the service. I have never experienced anything like this since pandemic started. Also, they didn’t even have any face masks to offer. The situation was handled poorly, and that’s not what I expected.

Amazing coffee served with a side of great service and a very lively neighborhood atmosphere! They roast their beans daily, and serve incredible coffee and espresso drinks. Intelligentsia makes superior coffee to many others and the individually brewed portions make it so tasty. A+!

Sometimes they seem a little slow even when they are less crowded, but usually they have great service even when packed to the gills. If you can find a seat, a great place to savor your coffee.

And the coffee is always terrific.

Their presentation of their drinks for 'dine-in' service is always very tasteful and you will get sparkling water served with drinks like a macchiato.

Such a good vibe! Love the decor and coffee and I'm so glad this was my morning coffee stop for my day in Chicago!

Good service, great coffee and espresso, and painfully hip clientele (sometimes). Totally worth it though.

There may be other coffeehouses in the city that may be more chill and with more involved drinks, but this place does the basics better than anywhere I've been in the US, let alone Chicago.
